What Is Your Best Way To De-Stress ?

I guess that we all have different types of stress in our lives everyday be it work, family, money, friends and etc. So, how do you de-stress yourself? Do you watch a movie? do some compulsive shopping? eat alot? listen to music? and etc ..... As for me, what I do is that I go sit back and relax with a nice cup of hot coffee and preferably with a sea view. This is how i de-stress. How about you ?

When I am stressed, I do compulsive cleaning, I clean my house top to bottom, side to side and it makes me feel way better.

Wow! Then I guess it's good the be stressed out every week. this way you can get your house cleaned on a weekly basis. :)

During stress, I like to do a few stretching exercises, have some quiet time, maybe sip some hot tea or cocoa. light some candles and take a bubble bath. Then take a nap if possible. Sometime even going for a walk helps.

Music. A nice relaxing melody will soothe me every time. If im with my dog at home we like to go sit outside and I will watch him chase squirrels and birds with my Ipod playing in the background. If its raining I will hold him while we watch...until it starts to thunder. Then he starts to get scared. lol

I guess that love making does do some good as I have experience this myself before and it does release lots of stress in one.

To begin, try to take your mind off of whatever has caused you to be in such a stressful state. Whether it be work, a fight you've had with a friend or spouse, or a deadline you need to meet, don't think about it. That's the least of your worries. Next, think of what makes you feel at ease or at peace. Bake some cookies, go for a walk in your favorite park, sit down and watch a relaxing movie, or even partake in an evening of hot, passionate love making with your significant other. What always seems to relax me is running a nice, hot bath and lighting some of my favorite candles. Pamper yourself, you'll soon find that you're able to calm down and your worries will seem to fly out the window.

Walking, running, talking to friends, writing, listening to music, meditating, painting, playing sports, etc. One of my favorite ways to de-stress is hitting the gym! Although sometimes it's hard to find time to do so. Burning calories is probably the best way to take your mind off things - and exercise releases endorphins, which make you happy!

Yup .. get your body and mind all worked out ..... Like what Archie0 mentioned above, a passionate love making is just like going to the gym and sweat it all out.

Hi, there! Going to the mall or dine out is one of the things i usually do if I'm under stress. But, if by chance i don't have money to spend I usually play my guitar and hum those lyrics or look for a quiet place in our house and paint, silence makes my imagination work by then all tensions are released.

Yup ... i agree with you on the dining part. When I am stressed out, sometimes i like for for a buffet and eat all you can. It just feels so nice but a little bad for the body.

yes, when people are stressed eating is our one way of relaxing and we become unconscious of what we munch, we tend to eat everything that is palatable until we realize that it is too much and unhealthy. By the way thank you for choosing me as your "best response". Ciao!

for me, i'll find some entertainment to entertain me. that's actually what it does, entertain people. if i feel stress, i am going to listen to musics, watching tv, and play video games works very well on me when i'm stressed. if i eat lot to de-stress, i will be full of fat and become big. i don't wanna be like that. if i do some compulsive shopping, my money will be running out before the end of the month. that'll add more stress on me for sure.

I think that is the best way to de stress your self I would personally sit on a seashore or a river bank or a creek and just watch the calm water flow and thus drain all the stress and the tensions that occur or another way to de stress is feed the fish or the flying sea gulls which is even more fun to watch, if you do have to finish that cup of coffee fast...smiles...thanx

Hi there and smile! De-stress?, hmmmm i would love a good massage for me with aromatherapy candles around, perfect oil for skin and a good companion in the spa. Sometimes i will just visit the salon and request for a foot spa, thats make me relax and forget the stressful work. I also like my coffee and movie. I can apreciate lots of things in nature when i want to have time for myself and forget about work and problems. Happy mylotting and smile always!
