Why do we have dreams?

If you really want to know they are places you could probably go to check it out and get alot of information on it and maybe be able to understand it..or go to the library and get a book on it..Dreams are a funny thing they can tell you all sorts of things if you can remember them. I have heard if you want to know something think about what you want to know as your drifting off to sleep and your dreams will give you the answer if you can figure out the riddle it gives you sometimes..sometimes though it gives you a straight answer. lost your keys or something and searched everywhere but still cannot find them well think about them and maybe your dreams will tell you i have tried this most often it works other times i get the message or riddle i call them messed up ..but i think you should check out a book about dreams it will tell you

I believe it has something to do with the subconscious "recharging" or taking a break.

I don't know... that's a good question.
