Wow, keymandan, looks like there aren't very many bass players on this site! For me, a singer and guitar player, I think it is essential to play and know the aspects of the bass playing music! It's what helps me be more knowledgeable in the other areas of entertainment, a 'total package' of knowledge! Besides having my own band, and playing lead guitar and singing for another band, another band I joined, I just play bass and sing for them, and it has rounded out my musical talents and knowledge! And now, I am headed for the keyboard, and the accordian! I've been attracted to these instruments, by listening to them, and it just seems natural for me to learn to play them! And, tyc, did you ever continue your endeavor of playing bass? Give me some feedback! Over

Hello musicman, good to hear from you. No, not playing bass or anything else. My knuckles wouldn't be able to take it, some days my hands and knees don't do too well. My grandson got a nice keyboard for his birthday and he loves it. He has learned how to read music in school and last year they HAD to take band and he played the trumpet. He liked it so well that this year he wanted to be in band again and he plays the trumpet this year also. Sounds like you are staying busy with your music and singing and seems like you are having a blast. That is great to hear. My son still messes with his guitar that we got him Christmas before last. He and some of his friends get together for jam sessions, I guess that is still what it is called. Have a great week musicman and holler at me sometimes.
