Is Buddha a god?

there is no almighty god in Buddhism.There is no one to hand out rewards or punishments on a supposedly judgment day.Buddhism is strictly not a religion in the context of being faith and worship owing allegiance to a supernatural being.A Buddha is not an incarnation of a god. the relationship between Buddha and his disciple and followers is that of a teacher and a student.I am a strong believer of Buddhism so i think there is no god but the goodness.I believe if i am a good person everything will be good to me.how about you my friends?

That is Nepal where I live in and I would like convey you the information about Neapl and Buddhism.Buddhism is the best religion for the up coming future but some of indian trying to pool the buddhism in hindu(hindustan).Actually buddha born in nepal and nepal is not the indian subcontinent but of Asia.so buddha born is right but buddha born in india is 100% wrong.

In Hinduism the Purana, mention Gautama Buddha as one of the ten Avatars of Vishnu, usually as the ninth one. It is true there is no God is Buddhism. I am a Christian. I believe in Christ. I believe that to be a good person I need to have God's very essence in me. That essence can trickle into me only through Christ. I cannot become good just by thinking that I want to be a good person. All I can do by doing so is to pretend, but I can never be good.

But don't Buddhists believe in hell? Then what is that all about? Who created hell?

i've got a question that i was thinking about posting in religion - by the way i don't know all that much about buddhism and i agree pretty much with what you've just said, add on perhaps not now to that though. this is a little off topic but i've heard that gods do play a role in certain buddhist traditions - what is this?

yaa.. i think they was god..because..they.. take...a type of knowledge..in gaya..and seeing to people..right way..so i believe in this..that they was god..and people are also called him lord buddha...
