Anyone thought about layawing items for Christmas

I remember when my kids were little, I was the layaway queen. The bulk of my purchases were on layaway. Around October, I would go to Kmart and put my items on layaway. I would have them out one or two week before Christmas. It was such a help. I was sitting around thinking the other day about the holidays, and I am going to march into Walmart or Kmart and set up a layaway for some of my Christmas gifts. Anyone using the layaway plan for Christmas.

I have not tried this scheme either. I think I wiil tend to forget what I have chosen or in which stores I have layaways. I prefer to wait for the Black Friday Sales, Thanksgiving or any clearance sales which I keep tabs on. That way, I start accumulating gifts little by little.
