I started my vegetable garden in the Spring. I did not do very well. The main thing was lack of planning. I am thinking it's Fall, and there must be something I can plant. If you know of any vegetables or herb, I can plant in the South, share so I can try.

I live in the south and truthfully I cant think of to much other then green peas. They like the cold weather so they wont grow in the summer time but they will grow in the spring and fall. I planted my second crop the other day and Just now have sprouts coming up, so I hope to have a small crop before frost hits, they will live even when frost comes, my dad use to plant them early enough up north so they would actually get snowed on some times. So they like the cold.

One of my girlfriend told kale, and cabbage love the cold. I have not tried any. I thinking I might postpone my plantings until Spring.

I would postpone it for now, I heard we may actually get snow this year here in the south. I do know it will be down into the 30s Friday. It seems to be snowing everywheres else early this year.

For a fall garden in the south, try some collard green, mustard greens, brocooli, brussel sprouts, multiplying onions, garlic, and well there are several others also, like potatoes.
