Polygamy is essentially a form of power of men and the affirmation that the function of the wife in marriage is only to serve the husband. This can be seen from the reasons that can be used by a religious court to give permission to conduct polygamous husbands (because of defective body wives, can not perform his duty as a wife and could not produce offspring). I actually disagree with polygamy. but I allow my husband to marry again, although there is no obvious reason.

So what you are saying now is that your husband is already married again. So now your husband have another wife, or you just saying it theoratically? If your husband do married again, what do you feel about it? Are you feel jealous, mad or other? And what your family feel about it? Thanks

My husband was going to marry again. I'm not angry, I did feel jealous. but I must resist, I want my husband happy. My family did not know this neighbor, but I'm sure my family understand my decision.

OO I C, you must have been a great wife to agree to your husband 2nd wife. Well i think you should talk it over with your family first because i think it is for the better. Dont want any of your family member end up fight it out with your husband right. Well that's it from me

Well, without thinking to much about it, I could say "Sure! Why not?? It would be great to have more wives!" but after giving it some thought, I realize I wouldn't like to know the woman I love with other men. So, after putting myself in the other's shoes, I don't think it would be very pleasant. Another thing that should be taken into account is that, if polygamy is allowed, it should equally be allowed for both genders (not just for men, as it is in some countries).

Why shouldn't I compare polygamy to polyandry? It has the same emotional impact, except in the mirror... Why should men be allowed to practice polygamy and the women banned from practicing polyandry?

stvasile, i see from my religious view. and i read any proof why i agree with the aspect of religious. if a wife married with more than 1 guys,the question how to know who is the father if the woman is pregnant?

hai stvsile, i didnt agree with you. off couse it`s different make polygamy and polyandry(a woman marries with many man).i think many people never allowed a rule about polyandry. but how come you can compare polygamy and polyandry?

Polygamy is A pracitce of having more then one wife for man, and more then one husband for girl. Thought in most casses, most of them was done by man and not woman. Polygamy usually approved if, and only if, the other wife / husband approve of it. Ok, thats it from me hope it helps.

I Dont mind if 1 men have a few wife, as long as the other wife agree to it. Ir really doesnt matter. But if 1 woman had more then 1 husband, i feel not agree with it. But i hope it will not become a gender issue because, me myself is a man. Well that is what i think, people can have their own opinion of course.

i dont agree a woman married more than one husband. beside it`s no allowed in my religion,it`s so impolite in social norma and off course in healthy side it make many people confuse

Yes, we may not like it, and our religion may forbidden it. But that kind of practice do exist, and we cannot do anything, and we shouldnt do anything because in some culture, woman are able to have more then one husband. Well i kinda forget the exact place, but that kind of pratice could also be found in indonesia. I should learn more in geography class while i am still in high school.
