Wow! I really can't believe I'm the first one from the United States to respond. I'm from New York, in the USA. There are a lot of great places in the U.S. to visit. Some of the popular ones are New York City, Disney World (in Florida), Hawaii, and out west in the Rockies and the Yellow Stone National Park. I know there are tons of other places! I'm actually anxious to hear more ideas from another US resident!

I am from Australia, but thought I would post in this section some of the great places that I have visited in the United States. I lived for 4 months in Lake Tahoe on the California/Nevada border, which is one of the most beautiful places that I have seen. Then went on to San Francisco, my favourite USA city! Then on to Yosemite National Park in California, which is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been! The Grand Canyon in Arizona, Arches National Park in Utah and Niagara Falls on the Canada/USA border are also spectacular places that I highly recommend you see in the USA!

Aiyoh, so many places of interest to visit in Malaysia. First head to Penang, well known for her beaches and food galore.Curry mee, where ? Lorong Se Ratus Tahun, of course. How about the famous Penang char kueh tiaw? It is the two sisters at McAlister Road. And not forgetting the Penang Road chendol which is crowded all day long.Penang is also famous for its laksa called Penang Laksa in Itam.In fact Penang is a food haven. Then we hit south to Kuala Lumpur to visit Sunway Lagoon, you can spend the whole afternoon enjoying the rides. We can visit the Petronas Twins Towers,at one time the highest building in the world. We can also make our fortune at Genting Highland Casino.Besides, we have many islands to explore. There are more much more to see.

Hi James, Yeah , Penang is one of the worth place to visit in our country. I like penang food. For years I have not been to Penang and I miss the food. I missed the Penang hill too ! There was the time the cable car was under construction so I haven't go up the hill yet. For Kuala Lumpur, I Don't prefer to go Sunway lagoon. This water park has nothing special, LOL. Better stay at the malls for shopping. Well known shopping malls at Kuala lumpur will be KLCC, Lot 10, Pavillion, Sungai WAng and Star hills. After visit the Twin towers, perhaps we can have a dinner at KL Tower? It is a nice place to view the beautiful night scenery of Kuala Lumpur. Genting highlands is one of my favorite too. ! But I don't go there for gambling.

Well, since I am also from here, here are the places you should visit if you are touring Malaysia. Do not miss historical Malacca. See the Old fort, take a river ride, climb onto that fake Portuguese ship, climbed up ST Paul and St. John's Hill and taste all the good Malacca delicacies. You must taste the chicken rice ball across the bridge where the OCBS stand, adjacent to Hereen Street. At night, do not miss 'flea market' famous Jonker Street. Also do not forget to taste the famous fish being grilled to your heart's pleasure in Portuguese Settlement. Also scout around for the famous wantan mee and teh fish porridge in Mata Kuching Road. In Penang, go to the beach and have a few hours of sun fun and surf. Enjoy the famous char keuy tiau in Jalan Rahmat as well the the Hokkien mee served by the Two sisters in Anson Road. I will leave other fellow Malaysian s to recommend other places and food delights.

Hello Grace, Thanks for your response. Are you from Malacca? If I happen to visit Malacca, why not we get a meet up! . I like Malacca too. I was there many years back and I was glad I have visit most of the places you have mentioned. And this year I went to Malacca again just to enjoy the local food. I like Jonker Street! I went there in day time. I think it is more happening at night? I don't go all the way to Penang just for the food. In kuala Lumpur here too have famous Char Keuy Tiao and Hokkien mee stalls. They are as nice as Penang's!

Well, in Portugal you can't miss cities like Porto. Lots of architechtonic and cultural things to see. In Lisbon there are many things too but it's a bit more chaotic of a town, it's the capital after all. A more obscure place I personally suggest is Óbidos, lovely little ancient and medieval town. Spent couple of summers at least there.

Las Vegas is a popular attraction in my country, and not far from that is the Grand Canyon. But many people live in the interior of the USA and for those it is attractive to go to one of our two beautiful coasts. It is a LONG way to drive from one coast to the other, taking most people a week or more. We have many nice rivers and mountains with parks and that sort of thing, and in the cities we have different kinds of museums and art galleries to visit and the theaters, both live and the cinemas. One of my favorite places to go is the botanical garden. Here is one list of 10 "best" botanical gardens in the US. I have only been to one garden on this list, but it happens to be number one on this list: http://blog.hotelclub.com/the-10-best-botanic-gardens-in-the-us/ Another one I like was not on that list, but it was lovely: http://www.huntington.org/huntingtonlibrary.aspx?id=210&linkidentifier=id&itemid=210

Hello. I have been to Malaysia. A very beautiful country. The City of Kuala Lumpur is so beautiful and impressive. I am in Canada, in Vancouver. It is avery beautiful city too, on the west coast of the country, on the Pacific coast. There are many attractions in the country too. One of the favourite places for visitors and tourists is the Banff National Park on the Rocky Mountains, a very scenic national park.

Hi, I live in Australia, which is always a popular tourist destination although a long way away for most of the worlds population! My home city is The Gold Coast in Queensland which is one of the most popular places for tourists to visit. Much of the city revolves around tourism. Other popular places are Cairns and The Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Darwin and Uluru in The Northern Territory and the state of Tasmania is also really beautiful! A lot of people from overseas seem to want to visit Sydney for some reason, but I do not see the attraction in visiting the place. It is built around a really beautiful harbour, but it is just like any other large city once you are there!

Yellowstone park is a popular place to visit in my state, as well as Devil's Tower. I've been to Yellowstone, but not Devil's Tower. I've never been to Malaysia, it looks like a beautiful country. I love to travel, and I think everybody should travel outside their country, even if only they can do it one time. It's a real eye opener.

Well; India has a lot to offer to travellers . It has a lot for both budget tourists as well as the rich and very rich . You can visit Goa for its beaches , Hill stations in North and East or North East - Shimla , Manali ,Darjeeling , Ranikhet,Nainital,Ladakh ,Srinagar and many more . Southern Hill stations like Ooty,Kodaikanal,Coorg ,Araku and more . Then ;you have places like Khajurao ,Panchmarhi ,Tirupati, shirdi for spiritual ,historic and cultural reasons . There is a lot more . some glimpses : Goa : Goa is a former Portuguese colony, currently a state in India's West region. It is 3700 square kilometers in size and has a human population of approximately 1.4 million. Its east-west mix, beaches and syncretic culture is what attracts an officially-estimated two-and-half million visitors each year. Out of these, about 400,000 are foreign tourists, the rest coming from other regions of India. Portuguese culture and architecture can still be found. Some call it "India lite", an easy-to-encounter version of India. Others label Goa's Panaji (also referred to as Panjim, Ponnje or Pangim) as India's most charming of state capitals. It probably still is, despite recent changes. Goa has its brown-tiled roofs, beaches, a reputation for centuries as a place where cultures and people meet. And undoubtedly, the holiday capital of South Asia. Himachal Pradesh : Himachal Pradesh is a tiny hill state whose pleasant summers make it a popular holiday resort. The Raj still lingers in Shimla, the state capital and former summer capital during British rule. Kullu-Manali are neighbouring resorts, surrounded by pine covered hills and lush meadows. Himachal has, in addition to popular resort towns, a series of secluded hill retreats ideal for interested anglers, trekkers and those wanting a quiet getaway. Many of these include: from Shimla – Mashobra, Kufri, Naldehra; those around Kullu-Manali include Manikaran, Naggar and Brighu Lake; the barely accessible valleys of Lahaul and Spiti are a trekker’s delight. Hi! I am from the US Midwest near Chicago. I am a bit of an architecture buff so if anything I recommend Chicago for that. It's very large and just feels very shiny and new. Boston, on the US east coast is good if you want a small-town feel with all the offerings of a much larger city. (I also used to live there.)There is also a lot of history there, if you are into that. I'm a travel agent and my destination specialty is Asia. (Broad topic, but I have noticed that stateside it's still a rather overlooked destination.) I rather look forward to being able to go over and see the various destinations that I have previously only read about and saw on TV and the interwebs.
