http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/32964825/%20ns/today-today_people For 35 years you are an only child. You remember that you once had 3 siblings but have NO clue where they are or how to find them. You start a new job & notice that every time you look into a coworker's face it's like looking into a mirror. Everybody that sees the 2 of you working side by side ask if you are related. You begin to ask the coworker some personal question & he has ALL the right answers. That's what happened to Randy & Gary...brothers by birth but separated at a young age due to being taken away from their birth mom because of abuse. Both Randy & Gary knew their mom's name & knew where they were born. They remembered they had a half sister but had NO clue where she might be. Fast forward...you're sitting at home & your boyfriend calls to tell you he thinks he has found your long lost family & directs you to a newspaper article about the 2 brothers who didn't know each other who were actually working together. You do your research & show up where they work saying...Guess what, I think I'm your sister You go to meet the 2 brothers & in comparing information you discover that you are NO longer an only child but now a family of 3. Randy, Gary & Joanne are invited on the Today Show to tell their incredible story. As it turns out Randy & Gary had lived in the same town actually attending competing high schools & possibly playing football against each other. In the course of telling Meredith their story, Joanne makes a comment that she thinks there might be another sister calling her name. Today they are back on the Today Show to meet a sister from Florida. Now you have Randy, Gary, Joanne & Kathy. You have gone from being an adopted only child to having 3 siblings. I couldn't help but cry as I watched this segment of the Today Show this morning!!! If this happened to you, how do you think you would react??? Would you be ready to open your arms to the strangers you've never known??? What are your thoughts on this story??? How would you deal with it???

Hi Lady M, Yes it is such an amazing story, I think these mothets who have children the give them away has got a lot to answer for, if I had children I couln't abuse them or give them away as they are a precious gift and if I was an only child and this happened, I will welcome them with open arms as they are my link, my blood line, my family. Well tamara, they finally explained that the mom had severe mental problems & the state took the kids away from her & put them in foster care where they were eventually adopted into separate homes. Unless I misunderstood, Joanne & Kathy even attended the same high school but never realized they were sisters...that is, until today. When you look at the 4 of them sitting side by side it is very obvious. However, if you didn't know, you would only make a remark at the amazing resemblance. I think it was Randy that said with being adopted, he had always wanted to look into the eyes of someone & see something familiar. Now he has that!!! I just find this such an AMAZING story!!!!

What a great story! I think I would be thrilled to find a sibling if I thought I was all alone. I have 3, one is deceased, and to find a fourth would be wonderful I think. I'm so glad they found each other!

I heard this story on World News Now and thought...wow. I mean what were the chances of those two me working at the same place and being assigned to each other as co-workers? And then for the half-sister to hear the story and turn up...Well if it happened to me I be doing happy dancing for a long time. I AM actually an only child, but the chance that there's a sibling out there is nada--wish I did have an unknown brother or sister
