Would ask your child to study only engineering or medicine?Or would you see the subject for which he has the aptitude and allow him to take it up as he would be more inclined towards that subject ?Dear mylotters i would be extremely pleased if i could bounce ideas of you.

I have found that limiting your child's choices in vocation is a painful thing to do, both for you and the child. Better to suggest a well rounded schooling so that they can make their own choice of occupation.

I would encourage my child to pursue that which he is interested in. Not what he shows talent in or what would be a "good job" but what he shows interest in. Because when we learn what we are interested in we become very talented and have a good memory on the subject.
Cheers. Why force him to do something he is not interested in? My parents did that with me, and I hated it, and never tried hard.

Its upto him to decide and moreover now a days engineering lost its value with so many colleges coming up.But its upto him to decide but I would guide him and advise him wherever its required.I would explain the pros and cons of every field and enquire about his interest and then guide him in the way thats best for him. We should not rub our interests on our child and at the same time should not sit quiet if they are making a wrong decision
