what is natural chicken?

i was in a grocery store and i found a natural chicken at the poultry section. where did they get that natural chicken? why did they call it natural? are those chickens that live in nature? are they caught by running after them?

What! Are people strat making artificial chicken? Hahaha... Just kidding. I think it should be free range chicken. If not it is a native chicken. I like to think it as a native chicken..

hi gorillafootprints he he he no we dont run after them in the wild. natural means that they are what is called free range chickens, they are not cooped up in tiny cages in big commercial building and force fed and raised in unsanitary conditions. the free range chickens are let to browse in the open and eat natural foods, nothing artificial and no chemicals to make them fatter. they are a healthier chicken to eat. chickens will return to the building they are housed in. no running around after them.

Natural might be another term used for organic. There is a big push for healthy eating and organic is a movement that has been happening for a long time. It might just be a marketing thing, but I would take that as it is organiclly raised.
