For as long as there will be humnas there will never be peace.
Humans are jealous and greedy and will always want more.
Maybe if robots take control then all will be well?

If we could put back the clock and everyone stayed in their own territory we could all get on. IMO we are the least intelligent of all the life. Animals don't have all the problems we make for oursleves

strictly tongue in cheek of course, but I wonder if exchanging children would fix the problem...
Nope, dumb idea, slapping self....
I did see a program that was very interesting though. An Jewish woman whose father was injured in a Palestinian attack and she went undercover and visited the family of the man who had done it. Eventually she revealed who she was and supposedly they all became good friends.

dawn,
We have the intelligence, the heart, the compassion, the strength, and the desire for peace but we also have, greed, corruption and all the other bad things that make peace impossible. We can have peace on a smaller scale. But even then something or someone will come along and throw a wrench in it. But this is the way we learn right from wrong, prosperity and hardships, love and hate and on and on.
Even here at Mylot, there is always someone going to be lurking around looking for trouble. I guess that is where we decide to walk away or not. Not enough people walk away.
Hugsss

Hi dawnald,
People will always disagree with one another so there will never be peace in this world as long as man runs it.

I can see your point, if we can’t even have a civil discussion about politics without getting nasty, what hope has the world got? I don’t know if we will ever achieve a state of peace throughout the world because where there are loving individuals there are damaged and disturbed ones who are too ignorant to view life in any other way but their own. Sad but true...

When I was a kid I had two cats who always fought, so I did what your daughter suggested. It don't go over too well. LOL

hi dawnald boy you did say a mouthful, as I know that'I hafe started to not answer any political discussions as I dont
want to be told how stupid, how moronic, how dumb I am to
feel the way I feel about Obama and health care and other
hot issues. So I keep my mouth shut. Nobody likes his or'
her opinion disrespected no matter if he or she is a Democrat or a Republican. I would like to respond to some but hate being'
dissed.

Hi Hatley - I saw your comment above. I voted for Obama myself. I haven't really decided yet how good of a president he's going to be, but I am cautiously optimistic. I think a lot of the stuff that's been flying around about him (he's a muslim, he's not a citizen) is completely unfounded. But I don't have much more faith in the Democratic party than I do in the Republican party. I think they're both in the pockets of big corporations and that there's a HUGE need for change.

Ooh, Hatley, now you are in trouble! I was going out to look for a parrot that may have fallen from a tree but if you need me just give a yell.

So what is going on?
I'm always the last to know!
Hope for world peace? There has never been world peace no matter the efforts of many countries. Will it happen in our life time? why ask me? I'm the last to know anything.

A friend of mine posted a discussion:

Created quite an uproar, including this discussion:

I'm just saying that if a small group of us on this website can't get along in a political discussion, what hope is there for world peace?
But darn, I was so sure you had the answer.

I would definately vouch for internal peace as being most important. Lets think like this: When you buy an orange, you buy it for what is inside. You trust that what is inside is sweet or at the very least edible. So what happens when you find a stone within the peelings? Then it ceases in its importance.
In the same way, when we all achieve internal peace within ourselves, we will instinctively be more tolerant of divergent ideas. The people around us will also be careful to voice their opinions in a respectful manner. This will then mean that we would be living harmoniously with understanding and acceptance of our differing individualities, upbringings and environmenrts. Therefore global peace would be achieved.

Better yet, let's inflict our politicians with stupid stars next to their names that will appear wherever they go and reflect how valuable their contributions are supposed to be, and let's make it just like OUR stupid stars so that any few disgruntled folks can downrate them and make them look bad!

Hope on real world for peace ? eliminate role of politicians because the greater role of politicians on peace efforts the more distant hope of peace on earth is manifested

Yes there is always a hope for all of us and for this world. But we can just have peace if we're gonna start making our own life peaceful. There is a saying that "if we want to change the world and make it better we should start in our own self". If peace will start from each and every one of us our society will be peaceful, if every societies and communities are peaceful. Every country will be peaceful and if every countries are peaceful our world will be peaceful. It may sounds very impossible to us, But have we try to do it? there is always a hope for all of us and with God's grace I know we can have peace.
