Went to watch the movie Inglourious Basterds after reading several reviews and viewing the trailer. Gave me the impression that it was a comedy that is worth the cinema ticket. Honestly, the show is nice. But personally, I feel it is not worth the ticket to watch it in the cinema. Wait for the DVD. Anyway, here is a short story out line (warning, may contain some spoilers...) The show begin in German-occupied France. Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hands of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. She narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Colonel Hans Landa is portrayed as a very shewed man. A very smart and meticulous person who takes great pride in his work, seeking out Jews and German Traitors and seeing to their execution. A talented man who speaks may languages. Nothing escapes his eyes when he is on to you. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution on the Nazi soldiers. They relentlessly hunt and kill the Nazi soldiers. And have a habit of collecting scalps from their kills. As their killing escalated, their enemy nicknamed them as "The Basterds". Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge, when a german movie star, who is also a war hero, engages the help of the cinema operator to host his movie. Unknown to him, the cinema operator is the same Shosanna who escaped the clutches of Colonel Landas a few years back. Shosanna, knowing that the colonel will be attending the movie premier, is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own. The ending was a little disappointing. Speckled with a few laughable moments throughout the film, there is nothing much spectacular about this movie that received so many good reviews. Like I said, it is not worth the movie ticket to watch it on the big screen. Wait for the DVD.

IT seems quite boring and still, plus, i'm not used to seeing brad pitt in such a role.. lol =D I always like such movies, only when there are lotsa bombings, killings, shootings etc, to make it real.. BUt definitely not like these kind of assasinating killing.. hehe

Oh, if you are looking for shooting, gory killing, this show has plenty of it. And they are done quite realistically too! I have not watch movies on the big screen in a long time. Most of them are on videos and DVDs. Only the few better ones (some of which I think are better), I try to catch them on the big screens.

ha ha ha ha... I got free ticket for one of those. I am now gunning for gamer if the weekend allows it. It looks really interesting. If you are into romantic comedies, try the ugly truth. Darn funny! Good watch!

Thanks for the tip! This is one of those times when there seem to be quite a few good movies coming out so it's hard to decide what to see so your advice to save my money and wait for the DVD of this one is much appreciated. With the price of movie tickets these days plus popcorn and a drink, I'm kind of particular of what I spend my hard-earned dollars on. Annie

You are most welcomed anniepa! Yeah, I totally agree with you on that. The price of a movie ticket is really expensive these days. And the overpriced popcorn and drink, makes it all the more important to be selective in your movie choices. Well, do post your comments on the movies you have watched. So that we can all share and save money together!

Glad you've posted this because it is a movie I've really been wanting to see. I knew it wasn't a comedy but I figured it would be pretty good. I think I will wait for it to come out now.
