favorite part of my day is... what's yours?

there are lots of great parts to my day. i acctually have two favorite parts to my day, but one is my favorite part just for me! one part that i cherrish though is when i get my four year old off the bus from school. i get a great big hug from him and i he is home safely. i know these days aren't going to last so i try to cherish them while i can. one day he won't even want me to get him from the bus. i'll embarress him i'm sure and i won't get hugs anymore. so i take them while i can! but the part of my day that is my favorite just me time is at about 8:30 in the morning. i get up at 5 every morning to see my husband off to PT. then i start packing my son's lunch and start the coffee and get myself dressed. then i wake up my son and get him all ready to go and off on the bus. at about 7:30 my husband returns home to shower and shave and all that good stuff. after i have him fed and back off to work it is about 8:30. this is where my favorite time kicks in! no matter what i'm doing... i stop and i lay in my bed for thirty minutes. i don't necessarily sleep, but i cuddle under my wonderful comforter and just breathe and settle down until i have to restart my busy day. it gives me time to think and just rest my mind. it is absolutely great and i wouldn't trade it! so i was wondering... what is your favorite part of the day? do you ever get time that is just for you? please share!

I love the mornings - right around the time I have my first coffee in my hand and I'm alone. I work (mostly) from home and the time I have before I switch my laptop on is golden. No worries about crossing the city to get to work or concerns about what to wear to the office - bliss.
Even better - it doesn't matter if I have terrible bed hair (which I usually do)!
My morning moments are great :)

that is so wonderful! sounds really peaceful and i love your bed hair! LOL. :) it is great when we don't have to worry about what we look like sometimes and just be comfortable :)

Oh it is, no doubts. Plus I'm my own boss and get to kick my own backside ... or not if I'm feeling benevolent towards myself:)

Hi pcickk17!
Actually each day is different for me so my "favortie parts" vary from day to day. One thing I look forward to every day is about 4pm when I call my sister and talk to my nephew and ask him how his day at school was. Another favorite part of my day is in the evening when my sweetheart and I watch television together. We sit close to each other and hold hands. I just really like the "connection" we share during this time.

that is super sweet! thank you for sharing. my mom tries to call my son everyday as well and ask him about his day at school too. i know that is really special for him and might be one of his favorite parts of the day. so i'm sure it is really special to your nephew as well that you do that for him :) my husband and i watch tv together in the evenings too... but he sits on his end of the couch and i sit on my end. lol. we snuggle later on in bed together :) have a great evening!

Hi there 
I think the best part of my day is in evening at 5 to 6 because for me the day is pleasant that time and i feel great at that time as everything coming to end and settling the evening dinner time and the tea with snacks and mylot and some more things to go on, its all so calm down then
