Have I Missed some world event which keeps Mylotters from Mylotting now?

This place appears to be dead completely. My home page shows discussions started by friends from five hours ago. I have no alerts of any activity. Who is going to turn the lights off on the way out?

I am here, more or less, on and off from work. I don't start a disucssion when I am working and I have a lot to catch up on so you won't be seeing any notifiers (except this one) from me before the week-end. Then I just might start something...

No strikes here Thea and the week-end begins on Friday evening. Not enough funds to make it begin any sooner Hey do you think red might suit me?

No strikes indeed, maybe you should send some of yours over to get the place shaped up into some sort of order. Do you realise that Lamby is now dressed as you, and why on earth would you want to go red, you've always been a yellow blob and for all I know yellow could be the next big fashion mess.

Good evening Mys, there are people out there after all, I felt as if I was in a time warp or a mass walk out in protest at blue lines. I posted a discussion 5 or 6 hours ago and it sits there with one response only, what is happening. Well does the weekend start on Friday or Saturday over there my dear, our weekends have been getting shorter with the lack of the usual strikes to make them longer. Many strikes over there these days, trains running on time?

Well, as you probably know by now, I'm not much of a discussion starter... I just wait and see what discussions my friends start, and then I check out the discussions from my interests... I don't find many discussions to respond now either, and in that case I browse the discussions with no response. I noticed there are some interesting discussions there too, some of them left un-responded because they weren't started under the right topic, some because the member starting them doesn't have many friends... Most of them are totally lacked of any interest, but you can still find some forgotten discussions that are worth responding too.

The discussion you say is interesting is the "Lord of Darkness - man behind the man" discussion? I've seen it, but I'm not really into politics, so I had to pass that one... Now that you mentioned it, I might have something interesting to respond there too...

Hi srvasile, well I posted one about six hours ago which only has one response, this is unheard of and it was a good one. I've just been reduced to answering an inane question about wagon wheels getting smaller, I knew full well of course that the poster was referring to a round wrapped chocolate biscuit but as it was so pointless I responsed that the donkeys were probably getting taller. It's good to see you are still here at least. At this rate I will have to go out stalking again.

It's not in politics stvasile, it's in satire, you know p.e. and it doesn't have to have the slightest thing to do with politics, think of Cleopatra behind Anthony. Did the Count have a woman behind him, or anyone influencing his nocture actviities. I just cited a politician to dredge up a bit of American input but they mostly seem fixated on Obama over there.

hi thea yes it does seem a bit less active than usual. 'I hope it isn't like what I have to do in about half an hour. Go outside and wait for the little access bus to take me to Tustin to keep my doctor's appointment. I always get the tummy flutters, and nervy whimwhams when I have to go to a doctor. Now I know he is not' going to hurt me or hang me or anything frightening, ' but I still get all uptight. oh wow what a topic for a discussion. In fact I have kept the same doctor for 'years and its not a horrible physical problem. I just am having problems with my legs swelling up when I sit here 'mylotting for many hours. He told me last time its not my heart or my lungs, so why should I get so nervouls.

Hi Hatley, why can't the doctor come to you, surely in that kind of facility they need a doctor around, especially in case your room mate becomes to much for you to handle and something nasty occurs. I hope your legs don't swell up too badly, that man of mine has had a swollen leg now for over three months with a thrombosis and it's not going down, despite the daily stomach injections. If you use a laptop rather than a desk top the best position to mylot in is propped up against pillows with your legs in front and the lap top on ones knee. Have a pleasant bus trip to the doctor my dear and throw your nerves out of the window. Hope all goes well there.

Hey thea! I had a pretty full box of email to respond to for today so I hadn't noticed a lull in activity. At least not yet anyway! As long as my email box is pretty full I am busy until I finish responding from there and then if I still feel like responding I go to mylot's front page to continue! But, by the time I'm finished here I have usually had it! So, I'm sure someone will still be here so we can leave the lights on for them!lol

Hi Opal, it was really the lack of activity on the front page which prompted me to ask. Like you I have times when it's catch up through email and I notice interesting stuff but don't have a chance to respond, and then it's gone. It certainly seems to have woken up though whilst I was sleeping and the lights are still on

I had to take my little boy for his 2 year old checkup (he's doing great). In a little while we go for his weekly visit with the food and speech therapist. (He's doing really well with that too.)

That's so cool, Thea! My boy is doing better, not quite speaking yet but getting there. He's also put back on the weight he'd lost when he developed his food aversion and now actually LIKES to eat!

Hi Kitty, good to hear your little boy is doing fine, is he eating better now? and speaking too? You'll be intested that I was tricked into entering politics earlier, due to the bad influence of the rabbit who went back off to her hutch as soon as she'd done the dirty, and I made a new friend in the paratrooping teddy.

Ah, different discussion completely dear chap. If something looks political just pop in for a chat if you don't really care for the subject, sometimes it's nice to have a diversion mid topic. Michael Moore makes the most fantastic comedic show called 'The Awful Truth' which shows Americans in their worst light. It's not new but I've had endless laughs watching it on YouTube. He's also made some marvellous satirical documentaries exposing many lies which American politicians use to dupe their adoring public. I certainly wouldn't expect you to have an opinion about some one you've never heard of, but if you want some light relief I'd recommend most heartily 'the awful truth'.

Hey that's funny! I haven't gotten my hours straightened out from my trip to the Philippines yet, so I have been on some pretty odd hours. At least odd hours for me. Yesterday, I thought I was just about to get myself back in order, as I awoke at 10:30 am. I figured that wasn't too bad. But then last night I couldn't get to sleep until about 3:30 am. Then I was up at 7:00 am this morning, and then fell back asleep at about 11:00 until around 2:30. I hate days like this, because it seems like I don't get anything accomplished. And if I have very much to do, my day is completely shot with chores. Forget going online for the slightest amount of time. That is, unless I am up late at night again. I still feel tired, so hopefully I will be able to go to sleep around 10:00 pm tonight and get up at a decent hour in the morning. It would be so nice to get my hours back in order!

Hi kydidd, I see that you are suffering from the dreaded Jetlag, now don't be too hopeful about returning to normality any time soon but go with the flow of your body clock being so rudely interfered with. I have an American friend here in Greece who regularly returns to the states and is generally comatose for a week after his return. I hope you recover soon. I'd suggest not giving in during the day and then hitting the bed at the normal time

Hi scarlet_woman, Couldn't you have got one of the slobs to read through the instructions for slob senior. Was it the new deaf aid you've been waiting for? I must admit to not really reading such things, especially if written in Greek, even though the written Greek is easier to follow than the actual instructions which I usually find mind numbingly boring. Anyway my son can usually understand how these things work without bothering with the instructions.

Really???? Thanks for liking it. Alright, I'll change it to the older one soon. Thought I would wanna stay low-key for as long as I could, but I noticed that this one's dark and broody. Makes me more moody looking at it, LOL... I think you are right. What have the other lotters been up to. I noticed a slight reduction in starting of discussions too. Don't worry so much; it's only Thursday, and as for in Singapore at least, this weekend will be the F1 race. But then again, there aren't many Singapore lotters here. Hmmmm, must be that they are concentrating on other sites or have something happening in their area or work..

Hi zed, well at the moment alerts aren't working at all except on pms, but I think I know what new upgrade to expect so if that's causing the problem hooray. It hasn't happened here on yours but on one above this - downwindz, by the side of a second repsonse from her it has the word ANSWER so I think this could be the much wanted by me advent of alerts on second responses. Let's hope so. So why did you want to be low key and where has your colour gone? Singapore for the weekend sounds good. You ever been into Raffles? There was an oldish BBC serialisation called 'Tenko' set in Singapore during the Japanese occupation but no skyscrapers then.

Hi Zed, I did indeed notice your absence from the scene of late but presumed that your new avatar was a quieter type. I don't wish to sound rude but I really liked your last avatar and this one doesn't catch the eye as it shows up as too dark, any willing return to your original identity most welcome. Now as I posted this on a Thursday evening and you blame it on the weekende I can only presume the rest of the world is now on a four day week. We don't start our four day week for another week or so yet but then we too will be sharing your long weekends. Anyway it is good to see you back and as for discussionsI posted one which sat there the whole evening with ONE response

Hello thea09! By reading the members comments on your issue I failed to understand the actual meaning. I think your discussion on the activity of mylot adm. I noticed that mylot is not sending alerts on the discussion started by the friends for whom we are activated keep message alerts. I request adm to look into the matter. And if the discussion is on participation of the members on self discussion I failed to understand why we the mylottters are becoming crazy for non participation of members in discussion. Why I should think thank my topics will get attraction to other or the other members will be interested to me? My topics may be interesting to me not to others. Normally I shall not participate many topics for my non-interest. But I read many. Yes, it hurts oneself and some member expressed their disappointment.

Hi sona, no I wasn't referring to mylot admin not sending alerts as there appeared to be few too receive yesterday evening when I posted this. If one doesn't receive alerts on things such as friends started discussions then their activity can be seen under the friends started tab, but that was mainly inactive too and there appeared to be little activity on the home page. My conclusion was a very quiet evening. Indeed you are right that one cannot expect responses to ones discussions which may not be of interest to others, and I find many things don't catch my interest either, but to see one response sitting alone for many hours was a little unusual these days as many friends have shared interests though of course not all of them at the same time in the same interest sections.

Hi neil, I only noticed it last evening as the home page was practically at a standstill with nothing much happening at all. I hadn't noticed it before as often end up playing catch up on my own and popping into friends. The online conversations do rather rely on people all being awake at the same time. After being out for most of yesterday though I had rather anticipated some activity to be awaiting for later on. Hope you are being shown full appreciation in your home now to settle your mind.

Hi prinzcy, there are so many time zones on here though that it rarely makes a difference who is sleeping though there are many times when my friends in Malaysia are active at the same time. I think that would be in my evening though which would be late night there so probably friends who sleep at odd hours, I do know one who stays up very late for the football over there. The quiet time here for me is early mornings like now when I can catch up without distractions

Yes, I have felt that way for a couple of weeks....I have seen the same friend's discussions come up for weeks now. Of course, I can't blame anyone either, because I have not entered any discussions myself. I guess it's just easier to respond then to try and come up with a new discussion that hasn't been duplicated lately. I will try to do better..lol

But you do entertain me dearly when you are here but I can't imagine how you get much time to be here in the first place with three of them to see to and no doubt ferry around. Or maybe having three as opposed to just one gives them the chance to entertain each other.

Hello, Thea. Here's one friend back from Germany to be active again. Perhaps everyone is on holiday, or having internet problems? Normally i would say that the deadness around these parts would have a lot to do with the fact tht it is a friday night, and most people (other than myself) have bigger and better thigns to do, as this is the begining of the weekend and they are out living life to the fullest *envious* but as so many posters here are not from the united states, and the time and date in their parts are differnt, i suppose that doesn't adequately explain the absense of activity, so i too am stummped.

I have noticed that there seems to be less traffic on the site lately. I thought that it was just me, though. I know that there are unexpected things that happen in real life that keep us off the computer from time to time, so perhaps that is what is happening at the moment. There are a lot of festivals going on around here this week, so maybe it is just that time of year and people are off doing other things. I hope that it doesn't stay quiet, though, because this place is a lot more fun when there are other people to interact with.

Hi purplealabaster, well I didn't notice it until last night really, I'd been out most of the day, was caught up with my own, and there was no one there, and I have to say it's pretty much the same now as discussions are sitting on the home page for hours. Place could certainly do with a bit of livening up though before I give in and go and play over in politics. What can I say, the rabbit keeps trying to tempt me with links to amusing insulting matches.

Sorry, I'm late back with this one. You misunderstood, I try not to play in politics as I would not be my usual sweet self at all. I only venture in sometimes and usually by mistake. The rabbit alerts me beforehand if she's putting anything in religion so I don't respond by mistake. I am very fond of my blue star as it matches my avatar so well and its nice to be co-ordinated, and I learnt my lesson last time after it dropped from blue to yellow overnight after a foray into religion. It takes far far longer to get back up after a drop. I was 98 originally and now back there and nothing is going to get it to 100 as I think one needs to have never been negatively rated to achieve that, wheras before your own advent here I had a mad trollie hitting the minus button posing as a friend. But now the rabbit has invented pe for us to play in and if the political lot turn up and get all serious and screaming I feel a perfect right to interject and tell them to go and play somewhere else.
