For me the one I could never forget is "How to Lose a Guy in Ten days."what movie would you recommend for me to watch? I'm planning to rent movies for the weekend, and I definitely need good ones.

There are a lot of romantic comedies around--and i also love "how to lose.." I can recommend when in rome, what happens in vegas, sandra bullock's and jennifer lopez's movies [most of them are good romantic comedies]...

I am a diehard romantic and I love romantic novels, poetry and movies. But , I do not recall many wholly romantic movies in English. The few I can recall are "Pretty woman" "You've got mail"" Runaway bride" "Nottinghill"Of course if you like old classics you can opt for "The sound of music" which is an all time favourite with me.

They are all good I agree. But I've seen all of them! I don't usually watch movies over and over unless I happen to see it showing on HBO and I get glued at some point. But anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I have to agree that they are the pillars of romantic movies! Hope I am right! Hehe. :-)

There are so many of them I could probably give you a few pages full! I'm trying to decide which ones are my favorites that nobody else had suggested. Here are some, in no particular order (although I'm starting out alphabetically...lol!): 13 Going on 30 2 Days In Paris About Last Night Along Came Polly A Lot Like Love America's Sweethearts Bridget Jones's Diary Bull Durham Definitely Maybe Fever Pitch Ghost Grosse Pointe Blank The Holiday Jersey Girl Lucky You Made In Manhattan Music and Lyrics Must Love Dogs New In Town Nine Months Parent Trap Prime P.S., I Love You Pushing Tin Rumor Has It Serendipity The Sure Thing Surviving Christmas What Happens In Vegas When Harry Met Sally I hope I didn't have too many duplicates here that others already listed! I'm sure there are a bunch more I'm not thinking of right now but these should last you for awhile, if there are any you haven't seen! Annie

Who stars in the He's just not....? I think I've seen a CD of that in the video shop. I just didn't seem to pay much attention to it. I had watched MY BESTFRIEND'S GIRL...starring kate Hudson? It was a unique story. Funny and unique. It just had a lot of profane words in it. LOL

I'm not a huge fan of romantic comedies but a few that I did enjoy are Alex and Emma, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and 27 Dresses. Enjoy your weekend.

And Benny and Joon and If Lucy Fell. I knew there had to be more than just four.

Drama and horror are more my preferences. A friend pointed out another romantic comedy that I hadn't really thought of as such but it is a comedy and really pretty romantic when it's all said and done. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. It's kind of a teen movie (because it's about teens) but I'm almost 30 and it's one of my favorites. And I took my mom to see it in the theater and she seemed to enjoy it as well.

I loved Kate and Leopold, 50 first dates, and especially HItch. I guess Will Smith suddenly got gorgeous after watching the movie. Hehe. I haven't seen Shallow hal though. 50 first was very touching though.

There are a bunch of romantic comedies such as "Sleepless in Seattle", Four Christmases, My Best Friend's Wedding, My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Notting Hill. I love movies and I love when I plan to watch movies all weekend. So enjoy the picks you decide on. Take care!

I have watched My Best Friend's wedding and yes I loved it. I haven't seen the first two you mentioned though. I think My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Notting Hill didn't seem that appealing to me romantically speaking. But Notting Hill was definitely hilarious. I enjoyed it, but I didn't really feel that "love rush" that most romantic movies offered.

'You've got mail' is definitely a must see. I find that no matter how many times I have watched it, I can always watch it again. Along the same lines, if you don't mind watching some old classics, you could try 'Talk of the Town', 'Sabrina', and 'Roman Holiday.' I just 'discovered' these for myself, and I enjoyed them a lot. I hope you do too. Hope you have a good weekend.

Hi jag, I haven't seen those movies you mentioned yet although I am familiar with "You've Got Mail" and "Sabrina". If Im not mistaken, YOUve got mail stars Meg Ryan right? And Sabrina is the teenage witch?? I might check them out. As you see, I wasn't successful in my weekend movie marathon because I got busy! Oh well.
