My uncle is currently under comatose right now... doctors say that he has a least chance of surviving because he is already somewhat brain dead... But he is still breathing. Has anyone of you had known someone who had experienced this? Did he survived or not?

Hi emailocto,My husbands gram mom was like this for weeks. It was caused by having a diabetic seizure,She may have come out of it fine the doctor said. Under these hopeful circumstances ,why would her husband decide to pull the plug only after 2 weeks.I personalty would never want to be put on machines to live,If its my time to go ,I want as little money put out in the event, Something like this would be done. Its down right cruel if the person has little to no chance of surviving. Making it very difficult for the family to keep seeing everyday with no hope. This is why ,I have a living will in the event that something such as this money could go to better use. I guess in the end every situation should be addressed, in the proper fashion.

Comotose - If this is something you believe in ,I can only hope it is not for selfish reasons.
I am sorry to hear of your uncle ,I do hope the family chooses the best choice for him and themselves with what they have been told.It has got to be a tough one to call having someone elses life in your hands.
