How to make a good blog?

One very important thing to have a good blog is to make it visually appealing. Color, images, designs...it has to have something to make someone stop and want to read what you have to say. Make sure you're writing about something you know and are passionate about. That way, you won't get bored of it, and people will be able to enjoy the blog more because they know you enjoy having it. Do you like to cook? You could write a cooking blog; recipes, helpful hints, stories.... Are you a health/beuaty nut? Those are really popular blogs! For me, I chose one to help animals. I love animals and hate what is happening to them right now! So many dying for no reason :( Now, my blog isn't extremely visually appealing right now, I'm still trying to figure everything out too!
