Dear friends, Two nights ago i was watching and listening to the news in tv. It is going to be election again by 2010. Former allies have now turned rivals and so much mud slinging are going on. Senator Lacson, former Chief of Philippine National Police revealed his bitter falling out with the former President Estrada. They are being implicated in the November 2000 killing of publicist Salvador "Bubby" Dacer and his driver, Emmanuel Corbito. Ex-Senior Superintendent Cezar Mancao, formerly of the PAOCTF, recently testified in court that Estrada and Lacson had ordered Dacer, killed, an accusation the two have denied. Many moreaccusations have surfaced. and this i saw on the page i was reading earlier http://www.verafiles.org/index.php/focus/341-lacson-spills-beans-on-estrada The senator had earlier asked Estrada to give up his plan to run for president again. Estrada was impeached on various charges in 2000 and convicted of plunder in 2007. He was pardoned by President Gloria Arroyo weeks after his conviction. People are given a choice to choose the best person. Of course, they are not the only candidates. But just thinking, it is very sad that these things happening. Friends, how do you react to this? Do such things happen at your place, please share.

Hi tigeraunt, I don't like responding to religious or political discussions, and in the Philippines, the two subjects go fairly close together. Personally, I think the situation in your country has been in bad shape for many many years. I honestly thought we would see an improvement when Gloria Arroyo was elected, but it wasn't to be. I have been to your country a few times, and the poverty there is unbelievable, however past rulers have managed to fleece billions. I find it difficult to understand this, it breaks my heart, and I hope they get their punishment after their life here on earth.
