What is the most you ever ate at one sitting?

For me it was a tray of 100 chicken wings at Hooters. This was during my college years when I was playing football. I was big, healthy, and had a speedy metabolism. After eating all those chicken wings you would think that I would have been sick, but I had an iron constitution at the time. If I tried that nowadays I don't think I could even make it up to 50 chicken wings. Even if I could, I would probably be sick after I had finished. So, what about you? What was the most food you have ever consumed at one sitting?

I really to do miss it. My younger days that is. How many toppings were on the pizza? Anyway, a whole large is pretty good. I think I can still eat a whole large pizza by myself, as long as there are not too many toppings, especially too much meat.

my first time to have my stomach filled so much was when i went to a eat all you can resto, i had tried a little bit of each food, but when i had the taste of the grilled salmon it blew me away, and i totally focused on that the whole night, i keep on eatting that grilled salmon so much my stomach wanted to burst. it was so memorable to me that i wish someone will bring me back to that resto again. wish me luck... :)

Great! Do you think you can still eat as much salmon as you did then? I just finished replying that if we mix different kinds of food together we usually can't eat as much as when we focus on one particular food that we like. I don't frequent many all you can eat restaurants these days, but back in my college days it was a weekly affair.

i think the only thing i ate most was pizza and spaghetti about 6 slices of pizza and about 3 plateful of spaghetti. Then i realized i can't move becaus i was so full. I wanted to throw up but thank you i did not. i was walking about an hour just to feel relief.

Pizza seems to be the favorite stuff your face food of most people who responded to this discussion. You ate a whole lot of Italian food that day. To tell you the truth I would have been sick. Pasta really fills me and add to that 6 slices of pizza, there would be no way I could move after that. I have to hand it to you; this feat was really impressive.

Probably a large pizza when I was in high school. I had a really high metabolism and could eat and eat and eat.... Now I'm lucky to get through two pieces of pizza before I'm full.

I have slowed down too, but come on! Only two pieces. Just kidding. Everyone has their limit. I weigh around 205 lbs. so, I can still finish a whole medium pineapple pizza.

I am impressed. 30 pieces of baked mussels with cheese is no easy feet. Again as I was saying when concentrating on one particular item we tend to eat more than if it was a mixture of many foods. It is not always true, as you experienced, that when we eat a lot we have to get sick or throw up. Sometimes it just seems like the stomach just won't get full and if we are enjoying the taste of what we are eating, then it is a pleasure to sit there and eat 100 chicken wings or 30 pieces of mussels.

I ate 3 large bags of pop corn when i was watching harry potter. I was surprised to learn that i was able to stuff that much pop corn in one sitting when usually i only consume 1 medium sized bag of pop corn. i guess it's because the movie was too long and i didn't notice how much i ate in the process.

Your mind must have been completely focused on the movie. That is interesting. Maybe that is another secret to eating a lot. If your mind is someplace else, then maybe it is possible to consume more food. I might give this a try in the future if I'm ever staring at a greasy plate of chicken wings. Was the popcorn full of butter or plain?

I don't recall that there was ever a time I ate an excessive amount of food in one sitting. Sometimes I've overdone it at family events, like Thanksgiving or Christmas, but no more so than anyone else.
My brother on the other hand used to be able to eat 18 tacos at a time. He's a big kid, and this was at the peak of his growth spurt (and grow he did, from 5 foot nothing to 6'2 in a year and a bit). I don't think he can conquer that amount of food now, but I know that he still eats WAY more than anyone else I know.

Wow! 18 tacos! I'm impressed! Yeah, as I said once we get older our stomach just can't take that much consumption anymore. Your right Thanksgiving and Christmas are usually the best times to stuff yourself. I am also amazed at that growth spurt. That's 14 inches in one year! Do you think part of it was due to the food or just good genetics.

I once went with a person I was engaged to at the time to a family reunion. I was a poor grad student at the time that could not afford alot of food. I had my plate filled sky high with about every food and delicacy you could possibly imagine. It was something that really wanted to partake of.

Were people astonished at how much you ate? Did you feel stuffed after or did you feel fine. Maybe you were just hungry for a good old fashioned family reunion meal. If you don't mind me asking, how did your fiance at the time react to your "sky high" plate of food?

Once I was very hungry and I had managed to finish of 9 double egg omlettes along with pair of bread slices, even now when I think of that day I can believe I could have so much in one single supper, till date my friends ask me not have omllete with them as they fear that they will have to see me eating those many again. ;)

That is awesome. I don't know if I could polish off 9 double egg omlettes, although I am an egg fan. I think that probably was a once in a lifetime feat, so you can tell your friends not to worry. Maybe I'm wrong though, and you break your record and eat 10 double egg omlettes.

Well, you are real great! No, I will only eat a few just to savour it's taste. Not in a competition, mind you. Never, food is for sustenance and I will enjoy it slowly. Over-eating is bad. Sometimes, it creates heartburn. Then you would need to have fruit salts to bring out all the gas!

Your are completely correct. I don't recommend this type of overeating to be done too many time in one's life. Although sometimes you just get in that zone and it seems like there is an empty whole in your stomach that just can't be filled. I don't remember if I had any gas after the 100 chicken wings. I probably would nowadays, though, if I ate that much again.

haha, binge-eating. I think I remember eating a lot. But not that much, I can't eat a platter, single kind of food, for just a couple of hours. It will really make me sick.

That's the secret. If you mix too many kinds of food you won't possibly be able to eat as much as I did. I only concentrated on the chicken wings and didn't even drink anything until after I was finished. And then only water. Although when eating greasy food soft-drinks like coke and pepsi tend to help me digest my food. So, if you ever want to see how much you can eat, then remember to concentrate on only one item per sitting.
