I never have but I might see if I can from a doctor! I just need some help! Right now I'm not ready to do it on my own! I need to get my emotional eating under control! Until then I would like to try pills! If I don't do something soon I'll be over 300 pounds! I'm losing control!

I have and do take over-the-counter weight loss pills from time to time. My doctor has told me that this is not a great idea though because they are designed to boost your metabolism and when you stop taking them, your metabolism slows right back down. I am currently taking Welbutrin for depression, and it seems to also help with my emotional eating because I tend to snack more when I feel depressed. See the connection? The medicine helps me feel less depressed, so I mentally feel better and I eat less as a result, which in turn helps boost my self-esteem when I loose a pound or two. I am also taking an Acai Berry weight loss pill that claims to be all natural. I just started this one though, so I will have to wait and see if it helps or not. To be honest, I find that since they took Ephedra off the market due to health concerns, no weight loss pill works as they used to. My best advice to you is to start with making yourself at the very least walk each day. You don't have to go outside or to a gym either, you can just walk around your house while you cook or clean. That is how I get myself motivated to want to do more about my weight. I simply start with cleaning my house and as I do it, I force myself to carry less and make more trips from one room to another, just for the exercise. Then, I find myself wanting to do more and more. That first step is the hardest.

Dear Blue It appears that you may have some form of phobia. I don't know! A quick mental check up with a 'head shrink' may do some help for you. But again, did you look into your genes problems? Could it be that you may have some form of thyroid problems. Do get a medical check up on this 2 areas first. You may want to read about 100 articles written by me at www.josephsfng.wordpress.com. If you still don't have any answers, it's best to reply this message. We can talk further. Alright? Thanks a million. Love: Bro Joe. GBU. RSVP and ASAP.

Dear Blue To be honest with you I don't believe in pills and medications. For short term results it may be alright but to live a healthy and slimmer life for the long haul, it should be a natural way of eating and drinking. The best advice to you for now is to have a mentor who is naturally thin. See,do and follow his or her lifestyle of this person. If you can imitate such behavior, you have halfway won the battle against obesity!' Trust me! I have fought this war myself and came out victoriously. This is what I can offer you for now! More info is available if you visit our web blog at wwww.josephsfng.wordpress.com. There are about 100 articles on weight issues. Just read them and come back to me via this blog mylot.com ASAP. Thanks a million. Love: Bro. Joe GBU.

It has been over a year or more since I started this discussison. Of course now I would not take any pills to lose weight. I know it is not the answer. I have put on alot of weight over the years and somehow, someway I lose some of this weight. I think making life style changes will be my best option. Right now I am only realizing how hard that is going to be and it makes my frustrated! It sucks getting older and realizing it just gets harder as you get older!

I never try those weight control pills, although my mom encouraged me to try some. I don't really have weight issue my own, but I just hate that fat meat on my side, and I was so lazy to exercise on my own. Honestly, I never trust those pills, and I was afraid the side effect of them. I just want to be natural. Exercise is the best formula of all.

I was 272 lbs earlier this year and I am now 230 which doesnt sounds like a lot but its slowly coming off and I'm saving my life. I am not using a pill or a surgery. I'm doing it the old fashion way more calories out than in. I eat healthier and work out more. I made myself finally get up off my butt and work out. Now I love working out and being active. I eat more veggies and less sugar. A wonderful community for support and it has a daily log for calories/excersise is www.buddyslim.com the peopel there are so nice just jump in and read blogs then comment on them. A pill will never lose weight for you it might seem to help if you eat healthy and work out but if you dont it will not help at all. Good Luck hun! I you need any help add me and message me.

One thing I have always hated is I never really had people to talk about this issue who understnad! The ones I have have not been very understanding and not had this problem! i am sick and tired of not being able to talk about this! I struggle with it myself and it stinks! This is one reason I get over stressed from time to time! I just for once this would be easy! I'm 47 and this is will get harder to control! This stinks! I'm still bummed out!

I probably would. I probably should. I don't want to take over the counter though. I'd want them prescribed.

I never took pills to lose weight. It is fairytale what tells some doctor what wants to ear from this. Actually need to walk a little more and start to do exercises and stop thinking all the time about weight. Because if you are in the stress all body is in stress too.And no kg lose.So.Stop to stress and start to do some physical acitivity what you like the most. The best is do it in the natural way without pills.

I will never take pills to lose weight.I would suggest you the same.Whether to lose weight or gain weight,do it naturally through proper diet,do not rely on pills.Any pill..it will have its own side effects. You want to lose weight without taking pills then here are some of the things which you can follow...cut down your fat rich food intake, eat more of fibre rich foods,do not go to bed soon after your meals, avoid oily fried foods.Go for regular walks.Never skip meals, drink a glass of lemon juice without sugar in the morning in empty stomach.

Sounds like a good call. Everyone's internal system is different as far as the prescription meds are concerned. You may also want to consider behavioural management because this is an emotional eating issue.

i know what you're going through right now is not easy...i've been there in the same situation but not exactly the same wt as yours but i used to be frustrated as u r before due to d need of losing some weight...but i don't think taking some pills will be a good option... aside from the fact that it's not healthy.., it can actually bring you more problems... your liver will be at stake... you don't want that right? you can try exercising and increased fluid intake...=)
