Who Has Seen "Eye For An Eye"?

This is another older movie that I just saw for the first time but I thought it was worth mentioning here. "Eye For An Eye" stars Sally Field as Karen McCann, a mother who hears her daughter being brutally murdered on the telephone and then finds herself feeling the need to take justice into her own hands when the murderer is set free on a technicality. Field gave her usual excellence performance as a small but very tough and determined mother out to avenge the death of her first born and Kiefer Sutherland was chilling as the cold-blooded killer. Ed Harris as Karen's husband also was very good. This movie really kept me on the edge of my seat plus I could really identify with the character played by Sally Field. I know it would be wrong but I sure couldn't blame any parent for being willing to risk everything to get justice for her child whose life had been violently cut short. If you haven't seen this movie I'd certainly recommend it. Annie

I have not seen this movie yet. I have heard from some people how good it is though. It's not my type of movie, too depressing.

I am not 100% convinced that I agree with an "eye for an eye" type justice, but I do agree that this movie might just be the one to sway my vote! I loved this movie and you are right, it is an "edge of your seat" type thriller. Just enough realism to make you think. what if? And such a stellar cast on top of that. Of course, I could be jaded in my opinion, because Sally Field in anything other than fluff (like the Flying Nun for example) is one of my fav's. And Kiefer Sutherland just continues to wow me with his performance in almost anything he is in. All in all, an excellent movie, one that leaves you thinking, leaves you fearful that it could be you in that situation, and one that leaves you eternally grateful that this horror has not yet (hopefully) touched your life.
