in the US there are many laws that we need to follow.malpractice law in the US is really implemented.since many of the malpractice cases here in the Philippines were undocumented.others do not file any cases against the health practitioner because of no money to proceed on the hearing and having to pay in the attorney fee. do hospital protect their employees from malpractice suit?

Money - Money comes into every part of our lives whether, we can afford it or not.
In the USA malpractice insurance is a must,A doctor could loose everything other wise. You also need not pay a lawyer, unless you win the case.In saying that if the lawyer does not think he can win a case, its unlikely he will take your case.Always a catch 22,When it comes to money lawyers are you best friend or your worst nightmare. Most docs, nurses that cause malpractice suits don't last long at the job once this has happened . Its all about the almighty dollar here.

I think their are laws depending on the countries standard operating procedures for conduction surgeries or any medical practices done by physician or any medical affiliates. A physician should be a diplomate or a specialist in a medical conditions afflicting the patients and undergo training with a lot of experience backing his credibility. Then, the association of medical practitioner have their own rules and regulations about the proper care of patients and protection right and any neglect on the side pf the physician have their own way to litigate the cases citing the evidences to proe the claims of the patients who become victims of malpractice. i think also the patients have their own bill of rights where they have the right to sue or settle the cases depending on the negotiation. So far, hospitals too have their own set of regulation under the governing law of the country based on their patient health policy and act against malpractices.
