Anyone else have this problem?

Well unfortunately I've been having some issues with my stomach lately. At first I thought it was due to the antibiotics my dentist gave me but then after I was done taking them the problem continued. Let's just say I've been making more than regular visits to the rest room.
So about a week after I finished taking the antibiotics I thought maybe it's the coffee. So I switched my brand of coffee to a different brand as I had noticed before that certain brands don't agree with me, well that didn't help either. So then I took the plunge and stopped drinking coffee all together for about 5 days. It helped I got better. Well this morning I decided to have just one cup because I was desperate for a cup of coffee, and curious as to if the problem would return. Sure enough about 15 minutes later it started all over again.
Am I doomed to a life without coffee? Has anyone else had this problem too?
Is there any thing I can do to still be able to enjoy my coffee without having to make more than regular visits to the rest room? Please any suggestions are welcomed.

I noticed the one poster mentioning how medications can take up to a whole month to get out of one's system..great...I'm taking an antibiotic myself for bronchitis but Augmentin which is a penicillin type..I also saw you mention what type of antibliotic you're taking....Yikes I did a look up and here's part of what it says here about
clindamycin
http://www.medicinenet.com/clindamycin-oral/article.htm
WARNING: This medication should be used only for serious bacterial infections because it can sometimes cause a severe (rarely fatal) intestinal condition (pseudomembranous colitis) due to a resistant bacteria. This condition may occur during treatment or even weeks after treatment has stopped. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop persistent diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, or blood/mucus in your stool. Do not use anti-diarrhea products or narcotic pain medications if you have these symptoms because these products may make them worse. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for details and an appropriate treatment plan.
Like why the heck did your dentist give you this type of antibiotic...did you have a serious infection?

Thanks pye oly is a dear friend and I surely don't want anything to happen to her,
My daughter's doctors told me it can take up to a month for medication to leave completely out of the blood stream and body. Also if you up a dosage or decrease a dosage it can take that long as well.
Oly hun I will be blowing up your IM if you don't let me know ASAP what is going on. And I will be praying for you.

OMG thanks for giving me this information. I will definitely be making a doctors appointment on Monday. Well they didn't say I had an infection but I had some bone sticking out after they pulled my molar and he said it was red and irritated looking which to me sounds like an infection?
He prescribed me Tylenol 3's for pain which has Codeine. No wonder my stomach has been all tore up! UGH! Thanks pye I will for sure call my regular physician on Monday this is not good

I make a habit now that whenever my doc prescribes anything I look it up. Once my doc wanted to give me Cipro----also an antibiotic...before I took any I looked it up...it too had a severe warning NOT to take if you have joint pain...well guess what I do...there are now class action lawsuits against this medicine as it can rip tendons and make people virtual cripples...gee, nice right? The only antibiotic I trust are in the penicillin group which don't affect me...at least not like what you're going through

Well I have always had this problem with coffee. But which number does it make you go? Kind of gross question but one I have to ask. Because for my friend it is number 1 for me I am the opposite. But every since I had the gallbladder surgery I am having that issue no matter what i drink or eat.
Does anything else cause this same reaction?

Well if it were number 1 I wouldn't mind as much LOL! I had my gall bladder removed when I was 18 but I've never had this problem before. Not even when I eat beans. This all just started right after I started taking this antibiotic called Clindamycin which is why I originally suspected the antibiotic to be at fault since well antibiotics are known to do that too. It's so frustrating I love my coffee but I already went through this for 2 weeks and I'm not willing to go through it again

Ok how long have you not been taking the antibiotic? It takes a while for these medicines to get out of your system so it could be that.
