Are you prepared for natural calamities?

Philippines

There is typhoon in our country (the Philippines) now and the northern part of it is already flooded. Some houses are already underwater and the streets are no longer passable. I am a little bit lucky that I live in the central part of the Philippines and we are not much affected by the typhoon. But still, I have packed some of our clothings and documents with cellophanes so it won't get wet if ever our roof will be blown by the wind and I have placed them on top of the table so it won't get wet if the water level will rise. But still, I wouldn't say that I am already prepared for it. How about you, are you prepared if ever there will be natural calamities, like typhoon, ?

We have floods, earthquakes, fires but so far not tornadoes. We are as ready as one can be for what nature will throw at us, but there is really nothing you can do when nature goes wild.

I am not sure that I am ready for something like that. You take care and be safe. I am prepared with extra can goods and things in my basement, but that is all.

hi dorisday I am so sorry to hear of the typhoon and all the 'damage it is doing. I have a number of mylot friends who live in the Philippines and am most concerned for all of you. my table mate Perla is from the Philippines. We do not have typhoons here in California in the US but we do have earthquakes. I dont think I am really prepared for a bad earth quake either.
