How can you update peripheral accessory drivers with Linux

So, if you installed Linux operating system in your laptop or desktop, once you want to use the peripheral accessories, such as your CD - Rom, printer, and scanner, would it be able to update the drivers with those peripherals? Most of them are only compatible with Microsoft Windows and Mac, I just wonder how could up update those drivers and make them available for Linux?

Yes, linux is not windows compatibility really good. But now many devices, linux has a driver, you can download to use, install is very simple. I wish you good luck.

So, do you have any website, or any way that you can suggest me to update those drivers, Or any other way I can make it work if I lost the driver? I just want to post this discussion, so some people can guide me through it.

Those devices you mentioned are automatically detected by linux.Only newest devices are not detected very well. But with the advancement of the internet and also more people involved in the developing further with linux installing them is easy as Windows.Also manufacturers are supporting linux as wel for their new devices.
