One of my online friends actually invited me to play the Twitter version of Mafia Wars. It seemed like fun. Unfortunately, until another friend told me about this, I didn't realize the application was sending direct messages to everyone on my followers list (some got more than one message) inviting them to join. I went ahead and canceled my Mafia Wars account. Losing followers/friends because of unwanted DMs isn't worth it.

I love playing Mafia Wars! I play on both MySpace and FaceBook! It is evilly addicting! I have even spent money to get those high end loot items with the big attack/defense values. Sometimes you just gotta have them! It is a very intriguing game, all about numbers. No actual fighting per say, mostly a lot of strategic moves to level up and not waste energy points. Whomever came up with this is a genius! A rich genius now! There are so many aspects to consider when playing, it is very enthralling. MySpace gives out Godfather points like candy, I guess to keep the players playing the lower version. While on Facebook you gotta earn every fricken GF points the hard way- leveling up by attaining a full bar of experience points (which for me is in the thousands now). Very clever catch. Facebook has the Lotto while MySpace still has a 5 item tiered wishlist (Facebook was reduced to just 3). Facebook seems to get more perks like easily finding help a friend jobs nicely on one dedicated feed page, giving you access to more experience points - necessary to advance and get renewed energy. MySpace makes you have to check your notifications just to get a few. All in all it is more for someone who has the capacity to fathom all the various angles and manipulate them to serve ones purpose tactfully. So if you got the smarts for it, and the time, you will enjoy this game as well.
