The Geneva-based UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) called for a global currency in a report made public on September 7. UN countries should agree on a global reserve bank to issue the currency and to monitor the national exchange rates of its members, UNCTAD said. The dollar’s role in international trade should be reduced to protect emerging markets from the “confidence game” of financial speculation, it said.

The political climate in America is such that many are beginning to wonder along the same lines as us 'conspiracy nutcases'. It's time to take our collective heads out of the sand and realize here in America that this is not business as usual. It is not just some disgruntled Republicans who don't agree with Obama on his policies. It is a battle of ideologies so diameterically opposed that there can be no concessions. Either we are to remain Americans or we are to be forced into allegiance to the New World Order. Take your pick, but be careful, I doubt these guys play fair.

actually, I wonder if they are talking about mainly international trade here, ya know, companies that want to deal with china or india or where ever would have to convert those worthless dollars into the global currency and then the recipient of that money could convert it to their nations currency or leave it in the global currency for their next international transaction.
as americans, ya, I can understand why some my be against this, we have had some pretty nice perks through the years because it's been our currency everyone's been using.
but, sorry, the recent banking/housing fiasco has kind of put our trustworthiness into question and rightfully so! and, it's our trading partners that are screaming for the alternative! I don't blame them! WE WEREN'T PLAYING FAIR!!!
whatever happens is gonna happen, I don't think we can stop it at this point!

Recently I read an interview with the author of 'The Creature from Jekyll Island'. In this interview he explains how the Federal Reserve works. It would make your blood boil to understand just why and how our economy hit the skids. I suggest you read the full book....it wasn't the people of the USA that weren't playing fair, it was the government that sold us out to the money cabal of the Federal Reserve.
And I tend to agree...it goes way to deep for stopping at this point.

I might add...it wasn't by accident that they sold us out to these money monguls...it was deliberately done to effectively destroy our soverignty over our own lives.

much of the dollar's value is connected to the "trustworthiness" of our economic system and the big wigs in government, in banks, and in wall street has betrayed that trust for a quick dime. I can't blame the rest of the world for wanting to find something more trustworthy, not when I have Euros sitting in a box upstairs....just in case!!
There's no way in hades that the few subprimers created this mess! The value of the mess, the amount of money that has already been thrown at it's cleanup, overshadows the value of all the mortgages in america I think!

Amen sister, but are enough people waking up to a great enough degree in enough time to do anything? That remains the question. The majority sleep, and don't want to be roused, and many fools by into these dark ideologies... What to do?

Well, what to do? Keep on preaching!
and hoping that enough people listen to give us a chance. Will it happen soon enough? I'd post what I REALLY think, but then I'd be accused of all sorts of evil.
You know how people tend to shoot the messanger.

The committee for a global currency is hoping that it will happen in 2024. That is creepy when they actually have date in mind because that would mean that the process has started or hat it will be starting soon. I don't know how people who suggest a possibility of a global currency can be viewed as conspiracy nuts considering tht it has been openly talked about in political forums. i just hope that one currency doesn't happen because many nations could end up collapsing.

2024..? Wow....that long? Well, at least my grandkids will have a chance to grow up and taste life before it's over. I don't see it taking that long. But I can be wrong. lol
