What do you prefer to write about for earning money?

There are many ways to earn money through writing. The most popular is probably writing reviews for sites like Associated Content and Helium. There's also the popular Squidoo where you can write about anything and of course, you can start your own blog. So what do you prefer to write? Reviews or stories? Freelancing or informative articles? Participating in paid-to-post forums or working on your own blogs?

Hi Snam, the easiest way is actually to write an original article, post in Associated Content and Helium, and then rewrite the article, post elsewhere.
I usually post in Helium, then repost in AC the exact article, then rewrite sufficiently to post in my blog.
If I run out of things to write, I think I can rewrite the articles, and upload to Hubpages.
The difference is that in Helium and AC, the articles are usually in second-person POV, using "you". Blog writing is more personal, so I change to first person POV, using "I", and the sentence structure becomes more casual and conversational.

Hi Snam, most writing sites accept duplicate content. As long as they did not specifically mention about exclusive rights, you can submit duplicate content.
The trick is to use the same user name everywhere, so that nobody can accuse you of plagiarism.
Helium, Associated Content, Bukisa, Hubpages and many other writing sites do not mind duplicate content.
If you rewrite sufficiently, the content becomes original. I always try to rewrite to make it at least 50% original.
The moment I change from "you want to make money online" to "I like to earn money online", that is basically an original content.

I don't have a blog, but I am going to get to that one of these days. The site I do write on offers many topics, but I stick mostly to informative articles, I find I make the best money there.
I would like to do a little freelancing, but alas, there are only so many hours in a day. I have also done some reviews, but I find they don't really hold my attention all that well anymore.
So, for now, I will just stick with writing my articles.

I like to write nonfiction articles for Helium and Associated Content. I also do a lot of book reviews for book review sites (and then post them on my own blog, mostly just to keep track of my work and keep it all in one place). I tried Squidoo and never got very far, although I haven't given up just yet.
The topics I most love to write about are travel, art, and books, but sometimes I tackle topics in the news or business world...mostly when I see a story I think is interesting but not getting much coverage.
I wish I could find some more lucrative writing sites, but it seems hard enough to keep up with what I do now. Not enough writing time in the day!

I guess I am getting better on the sites. I think that with both AC and Helium, the more articles you have the better your earnings. I would like to get to the point where my monthly page views can equal the monthly payout, but I think I am still a long way from there. I have about 250 articles on Helium and about 130 on AC. I just saw a friend crossed the 1,000 article mark on Helium, I can't even imagine writing that much!

I guess I better get started if I want that to happen to me also!
Can I ask you something? Is it possible to submit the same articles to both Helium and AC and not get banned for possible plagiarism? I have not copy and pasted my articles around several review sites because I am worried they will accuse me of plagiarism.
Do you know their policy on this?

I freelance and the guy who I'm working for at the moment has me writing informative articles. My preferred medium of writing is creative writing, but I'm not that fabulous at it, and let's face it...it doesn't pay as well as informative writing. :D And of course I post here on MyLot, albeit to a much lesser extent.

Yes, knowledge is very valuable on the internet these days. If you can write, you can earn. I'm sure you can improve your creative writing if you practice more and focus less on the money because you are already a freelancer. Good luck with your writing and happy mylotting!
