Ok, I have to ask this for one reason... I watch the news everyday for the purpose of seeing what the weather is going to be like, and if I watch it for that day only then they are pretty good....however, if you watch it for the extended forecast --I have to say that they are not that good!! Like this weekend, we were suppose to get thunderstorms yesterday, which we never did and now they are calling for strong winds tomorrow....not that I wont prepare for it, because I always do.... but somedays it would be great to have a job where you can basically be wrong almost every day when predicting what the weather is going to be like and still have a job!!!! Do you watch the news for the weather and what it will be like a couple days from now... are they pretty accurate?? does the weather always change before the day gets here that you were interested in knowing how it was going to be that day?? How accurate are the forecasts near you?

It is not here either. They called for a few showers on Sat., it rained or misted all but about 2 hours of the day. They are calling for high winds for us early in the morning. Who knows, I went out and made sure things were picked up.

Unfortunately the weather forecasters seem pretty accurate where we are. They predict that the weather is usually going to be really hot and it always is!! I can't wait for winter, I just don't handle the heat well at all. And I'm hoping for some cold rain and then I will go outside and stand in it! LOL Yes, I am just too hot, today was another over one hundred degree day and I am melting, melting....

hi bookreadermom08 yes as a matter of fact they are because I get my weather forecasts over the net and they mostly are right on the line which helps when you are planning on doing something in which the weather might play a par.

I check the weather forecast every evening. Short term they are usually pretty accurate. Long term forecasts often miss by a long shot it seems. But,as you know, living near the Great Lakes can make forecasting difficult due in part to lake effects. I have learned it is more accurate just to check on a daily basis and not even look at the long range forecast. Windy like baby hurricane today, and lots of scattered showers. Cold and damp, around 16 degrees (that's around 62 degrees farenheit). Brr...fall has indeed arrived. Take care, M.
