How much time do you devote to promoting myLot?

A lot of people on myLot want to know how to get referrals. I tell them the usually stuff, write a blog post about it, add it as your email signature, tell your friends and family members, etc. etc. But I also tell them they need not just any referrals, but active ones. So then a bunch of people who read that respond go around asking how to get active referrals. But many people come back complaining about how they tried so hard but didn't gain any active, if any, referrals. Now my question to you is, how much time do you devote to promoting myLot? An hour? A day? A week? A month? Every Saturday evening?
As for me, I promote it whenever I can. That isn't much as I do not have enough time to come to myLot, let alone try to promote. I do it in bunches though, set up something here, check it a month later, and so on.

I actually don't promote Mylot that much. I've given up on it quite a bit. It seems that when people do come here, they post a little bit and then leave. Sometimes they get active and then they give up after earning a few dollars. And then, you have the people that refuse to be your referrals and will just come straight to Mylot and pretend you never mentioned Mylot to them. It's frustrating.

Yeah, it is very frustrating. It's hard to find the people that will be very active because there are not that many of those any more. I especially hate how people will not admit that you helped them find a site like myLot. It does not hurt to be someone's referral. Well, good luck and keep trying!

I don't understand why some people rather go and sign up straight to the site instead of being your referral. What they're actually doing is saving the company money because the company does not need to pay the overriding commission to the person who introduce him to the site. They don't get anything extra. I believe what goes round comes round. If they do this to the person who introduced to them the site, when they're trying to get referrals, their referrals will do the same to them; go around them and signed up on their own. Then they'll know how it feels like to lose out on a commission.

I don't understand either. You will never know how much you are helping them, and it does not really matter as your earnings are never affected. I think you are right; once they experience it for themselves, they will wished they had become your referral.

No, i dont promote mylot much. So far i have only write about mylot in one of my blog to promote it. It is easy to get referrals but it is hard to get active referrals. And therefore it will be better to enjoy the posting than focus on money earning in mylot.

True, just enjoy the posting on what we are interested, and forget about the referrals. Mylot is not a good place to ern good money but it is a good place to enjoy posting and meet friends

I hardly ever promote mylot at all. That isn't to say that I haven't tried, but after trying to get a few of my old friends to sign up and having it on my myspace page before as well (which I have since removed), I just don't take the time to bother. What can I say, I can't promote anything. I give up so easily! LOL
Happy mylotting!

I don’t do any promoting. I have thought about it and decided I am happy coming here and working on my own. I find that sometimes you can get referrals who are not active anyway and not worth the trouble. I don’t do much to promote anything I work on actually, I just plod along on my own at my own pace and I do all right!

I personally don't promote myLot actively. I just wrote a review about this site at Bukisa and if anyone is interested to join, they can always contact me. I hate to beg people to join. I'm here not just to earn money but also to get information that I wouldn't otherwise gotten had I not joined myLot.
