I am adult, been married for two years and already have a child... But my husband is complaining that I am childish and I dont understand why... When I ask him he said he had experience for a couple of nights that I am crying in my dreams, and I don't even notice it...He said it is not an adult like.Do you think it is normal for a 24 years old like me to have that kind of nights?I have that since I was young that I dream of something so sad or scary that I cried in my dream and didn't notice that I really was crying already even in sleep.

Reacting to a dream by crying does not mean that you are childish so tell your husband to stop pretending that he's a psychiatrist. Dreams bring forth an emotional response. Usually that response is limited to the dream but I have seen/heard of people talking, laughing, crying, screaming and even singing (my youngest daughter) in their sleep. It's neurological and has nothing to do with maturity.

Sleep is an important part of life. I wouldn't worry about normal. If sleep is good, and you feel great in the morning, all is normal. What if you somehow stop the crying then are tired everyday? If it isn't really broke, don't fix it. Got to be better than snoring!!!

jndlponti hi tell your husband that crying in a dream is far from childish,.maybe he himself did something that upset you that day, and it came out in a dream. tell hin he is not your shrink and not to call you childish at all.that is mean and so unnecessary. You may also have had a very unpleasant experience when you were very young and its buried in your subconscious mind and just comes out in dreams. tell your hubby you are not a child or childish, old people even cry, that is not childish, that is being human.

wow thank you a lot for showing that concern. Yes I guess I have some bad experiences before that just came out in dreams which I could not even remember what. Or maybe my fears came into my dreams and that made me cry during my sleep. Thank you for that response.
