One piece of cheese or two?

I love grilled cheese sandwhiches. They are great with soup or just by themselves. I usually use two pieces of cheese on my grilled cheese sandwhich. How about you? How many pieces of cheese do you use on your sandwhich? I use yellow american cheese, but my husband prefers white american cheese, even though they taste the same to me. Do you have a preference on the type of cheese for your sandwhich?

I like two pieces of provolone with a slice of tomato in the middle on sourdough bread. Mmmmm. Oh and be sure to press the tomatoes slice between two paper towels before cooking so the sandwich wont be so soggy.

I usually just use one, the last time I used two the cheese oozed out and burned my hand quite badly. I like to try different cheeses like various flavors of Havarti, it's a nice change from a plain 'ol Kraft Single!

I'm just like you I use two pieces oc American yellow cheese! I think if you use just one piece of cheese the sandwich is kinda dry. Og when I was pregnant I would put a thick slice of tomato in between the cheese!! It is so freakin' good!!!

I've actually been in a grilled cheese mood lately and have had a couple during the past couple of days. I always use two pieces of cheese but I like a variety of cheeses on mine, when I have different kinds available. The other day I had one made with American and some white cheese with peppers in it that my husband brought home.
