Do you often go for discount cards and reward cards in shops?

I don't often go for it because I don't like filling up forms, but I did enroll in one of them today since I often shop at that store (at least twice a month), so why not give it a try.
So, do you go for these? Are there really of value or are these just one of the schemes for these shops but if you do the math, it's the same with just paying without these cards?
What do you think?

Hello laydee...How are you?
We have a store and a convenice store in our town that operates on those kinds of cards. With the grocery store I do find myself saving some money at times. They will put something on sale if you have the card. On the gas reward card you can get free stuff at different point levels. If you shop there a lot for you gas then yes in the long run you will save..I guess it all depends what you looking for in these discount cards and rewards cards...HAve a great day...

I have only one card from a pharmacy where you get to earn points from purchases of medicines. Then after some time you can pay your purchases through the points you earned.
I don't have reward cards from department stores because I don't get to shop more. My brother and some cousins have these cards so sometimes I just use them and they can earn points.
The reward cards or discount cards have worked for us and we have used them after making purchases. usually we shop what we need so it's not really a waste of money. You just try not to think about the points and one day the points are big.

Yes, I sign up for those where I shop often. They are not discount cards but more like frequent shopper cards. They convert the money equivalent into points and once I reach a certain point threshhold, they issue give certificates or reward vouchers. It actually helps in paying for my purchases at the same store. At any rate, I only shop when things are on clearance. According to my calculations, I still benefit from joining their rewards program.
