Can someone talk me through Affiliate Programmes?

Hi all! I was looking at finding new ways to make money online and was considering Affiliate programmes, but I am not too sure what it is and what involves from me. So what do you have to do in them, does it cost anything or can you do it without paying anything? Would you suggest these programmes for making money and if so can you suggest any that I should use? I normally have relied on PTC programmes and I have regisetered with a few (as seen on my profile). Are Affiliate Programmes the way to go?

affiliates program where you can earn money from your referrals or by referring someone to the site. if they will sign up and if they will earn then you will get extra from them. you can check my website. just go to my profile and you will see i have affiliate website there by checking through my post. i also have proof of payment there from one of the site. its an adult site though its up to you.
