Do you eat before going to bed?

I find that most evenings i tend to snack on crispa and things even though i have had my dinner i still have to snack before i go to bed.What about you? I know it is the worst time to eat as you do not get chance to burn it off.

My doctor told me I shouldn't do it but as I try to have dinner earlier than I used to I again feel hungry when 10 comes.I usually drink a cup of milk or tea but it almost never help me with the hunger.

Sometimes, it only happen when I went home late and I am very hungry. I grab for a light snack just to ease the hunger and I do not sleep ahead. I just stand for a while to read a book or watch television to help my stomach to digest the food for a while. Of couse the digestion is slow because my metabolism is slow. There are times also that I eat food or snack because my sister bring home food that is shared for the family before the night ends, it usually happen during weekend.

Hello jj. When I feel hungry at night before going to bed, I usually something to fill my stomach. It usually happens when I am back to work in the school after holidays. You know what? Our school canteen offers super at four in the afternoon and we still have to work till around nine in the evening if it so happens that we are arranged to have evening classes. So in most cases, I have to eat something before going to bed as I am a late sleeper after ten or eleven at night. Take care.

sometimes, as our company offer the dinnar at 5:00 pm, but sometimes, we need to work around 9:00 - 10:00pm, this times,we feel very hungry, it is hard to sleep sound under this situation, so that we will eat something,such as fruit, snack, bread and so on, it depend what kinds of food we stored.good luck and have a nice day!

Scientifically,Its good to have our Dinner two hours before we go o bed. so that food can digested without any problem. but before going to bed, we can take some milk or juice which can be easily digested coz we wont be doing any kind of physical activity for the next 8-10 hrs.

If I do have a snack, I make sure that it is a safe snack. I do not get one that has the transfats or sugar. Cheerios and things like that, just straight out of the box, help you curb the snack attacks!

No, I always drink before going to bed. except if I'm too hungry I will eat food but no snacks.

Hey jugs! Unfortunately, Yes I do eat before going to bed! And sometimes I eat after going to bed too! I can be sleeping for awhile and get up and go in the kitchen and snack again! I think I am a "sleep eater"! When I can't stay asleep I have that bad habit of going into the kitchen and looking for something to snack on! It is a very bad habit! I thought I had gotten over it, but seem to have started it again! And it is a very bad one when you are trying to lose weight! The good thing is I have at least been snacking on yogurt!

I have always been told that eating after 8 or 9 o'clock in the evening is not a good thing because then that food just turns to fat being that you don't burn it off. I have never listened though because I always seem to get hungry around 9:30 or ten. I am also a severe diabetic so I always grab a snack higher in calories so my sugars won't dip low in the middle of the night. I will usually grab a bowl of cereal usually Honey Nut Cheerios or a couple of cookies with a glass of milk.

I will have a cup of tea alone or with 2 cookies. I sometimes would have ice cream but its usually hours before I hit the bed. The worst thing anyone can do is to eat something and then lay down.

I do not snack just before I go to bed. If I have a snack after dinner most of the it is about 2 hours before I go to bed. I have also heard that if you eat just before going to bed you can not burn of the calories but I also heard that we are always burning calories off while we are sleeping.

Hi Jugsjugs, I seldom go for snacks before my bedtime.As I am easily put on weight,I try to avoid supper.Once a while, I will have supper. Normally, when I am back to my hometown,then I will go for supper with my families,that is the time whereby I will have supper more often. Other than that, I seldom have my supper when I am back to Malaysia.

OH I agree eating before you go to bed is the best way to gain weight. For sure the worst time to eat. Now you and your significant other can burn some calories later on then is no trouble. :)

I use to eat before going to bed but now I don't. Actually I can't. I have developed some stomach problem. Too much acid reflux. The Dr's think I have GERD. So in doing some research, I found that one of the things you do or can't do when you have GERD is eat right before bed. Actually I can't eat 3 hours prior to bed. So if I'm having a late night when dinner is late, I have to stay up later. I can never keep my head raised and sleep. I always seem to lay down. I would love to go back to having my snacks right before bed. I'm usually hungry and want something. But I can't.

No i don't eat before going to bed but if i ever do out of hunger i will eat something that is easy to burn off...like a fruit or just drink some water or sugarless juice.

I do not have a snack all the time but if i do it is usually something like some fruit, or a small bowl of ice cream, or maybe some pop corn. but it is never something that will sit heavy on my stomach while i sleep

Hello jugsjugs.well sometimes rarely when i am not feeling sleepy at night and feel an urge to eat something i definetly eat something from the fridge,but i just know that it makes me extra heavy the very next day.So i try to avoid it somehow.Its very rare that i eat something before going to bed.

Hi jugsjugs, haha yes I do. I am guilty on that one. Although I know its not really healthy to do that like you said our body won't be able to burn it or digest it properly. Anyway, I always say to myself that I shouldn't restrain myself from eating if I wanted to. I work hard so I should at least I should be given the privilege on being happy with eating.lol Such a loser excuse..LOL
