This really is quite easy in my opinion. Teach your child how to be empathic, putting themselves in the other person's shoes. You can help them by talking about their point of view while you watch t.v. read books or even while you go for walks. Let them know that they can give others the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the other child just didn't realize what he or she did. Make sure that your child knows that it is okay to be different.
