Do you think ebay is overcharging on fees?

PayPal is pretty much playing a monopoly so I guess there are no need for them to lower the fees unfortunately. I hate their high fees but I have to admit that PayPal is extremely convenient and there ain't any good enough replacement for it. If they decrease the fees, it would make things tougher for the competitors like AlertPay, and probably make the monopoly even worse. Once most of the competitors die out, nothing would get better but it would simply give PayPal better chance of raising the fees even higher while maintaining the same amount of transactions as all other competitors would have been gone by then. My personal conclusion is, stay as is and please don't raise the fees even further. Although, if I was the owner of PayPal, I will lower the fees, increase the sales while killing the competitors, then raise it even higher onces competitors are all gone.
