addicted to fun?

i'm a big fan of tv.i always feels that i can't live without a tv set.i love to watch tv series on the internet as well.however ,there is a problem.i am a student ,who is supposed to make study her major part of life.i feel guilty every time i drop my book and turn on the tv.what's worse,i can't help it. it feels like my life is out of my control.i am letting the desire to lead me . have you had a moment like this?how do you handle?

interesting ... similar thing happened to me when I was young. TV content seems to be improving a lot making it more difficult to define "what is excessive TV viewing?" Perhaps the urge to watch TV will always be there for most of us. Also perhaps it is good to remember, watching TV is a passive activity: physically and mentally. The body is "dangerously inactive" while the mind is being manipulated consciously and subliminally. I think a good idea is to find out what we love to do besides TV-watching. It's a question that can only be answered right by a mind attuned to one's heart. Personally, I love walking, one hour, two hours...even half a day ... But then again, it's only my specific case. It seems the critical difference is that we need to soul-search, to heart-search to successfully switch more to healthier alternative activities. What do you think?
