Do you fear death?

Recently a friend told me that he had no fear of death and it got me wondering just how many people could actually say that? My friend had been in hospital in intensive care when a member of the clergy came to visit him. As the minister was leaving, she turned to him and said, "I came to comfort you, but you have given me comfort instead". I believe the old saying, "the coward dies a thousand deaths, the brave die but once". What say you?

First, I hope your friend is ok and out of ICU. I think it depends on if your heart is right with God. Since I'm a Christian, I believe that you find peace whenever it's your time to go.

Hi faikeijames, Thank you for you comment and yes my friend is now out of hospital and doing well, thank you for asking that as well. He doesn't attend any church, but tells me that he finds peace from reading the Bible and from personal prayer. Blessings.

That's good to hear. I believe you don't have to be a religous church-goer to believe or to find peace with God. Please continue to keep encouraging your friend...everybody could use a little.

when i got kidney cancer, i sat down a moment and thought and minute, ive done everything i wanted in life, traveled, have 2 kids 5 grandkids and said what the heck, i've lived my life now, im ready with no regrets. That was 5 years ago and still fell that way, i know someday it's comming back, been thru 5 operations since then and just try to live everyday to the fullest, im ready whenever GOD is. Plus i'll get to see some very good friends again , my parents and my dog who just passed in august that i miss so much.

Actually when i m sad or unhappy i feel like dying but when i m ok or happy i feel like living n stay with my near n dear ones.Yeah i know it kind of selfish but it a human nature when we cant tolerate anything and we react like n coward at least i react like a coward and don't wanna face this world.I m not brave actually its sad to admit but its truth to say.But when it is about my near n dear ones i cant see them in trouble.Best luck.God bless.

Hi Rakshas, Thank you for commenting and I understand what you mean. You are more concerned over others than yourself. You don't want to see your dear one suffering or in trouble. Blessings.

I believe that your friend is tired with his sickness and he just wanted to rest in peace. As what you have posted, he was hospitalized with intensive care.
