Once upon a time I would just watch films either on t.v. or in the theather. Two things came along to change that. Cable t.v. and ther VCR. Now I usually watch a film on cable and then tape it. It is rare but sometimes I go to a movie in a theater and as I am watching the film I say to myself , I need my own copy of this. It happened when I saw The Departed. I got it for Christmas on DVd. But most of the time , a film airs one night, I watch it and love it, then I plan to tape it the next time it airs.

I prefer to buy rather than renting because I am collecting good movies which I saw from the movie house. Renting is cheaper but it's not yours unlike buying it belongs to you. And time will come that you will get bored you will still find those old movies fascinating to watch.Just handle it with care.

I love watching movies in theaters but it's a bit expensive so I just wait for it in the market and buy it. I used to rent but sometimes their dcs are damaged so I can't enjoy the movie. I don't patronize pirated cds or movies so even if the dvds or vcds are expensive I wait for the price to decrease or I wait for discounts so that it's not that expensive anymore.

I mostly just rent movies through Netflix. I rarely buy movies, as there is not much I want to watch more than once. I occasionally go to the theater to see movies, but not that often, as I do not like how loud it is.

it would depend on the movie, some movies i prefer to watch when they are in theaters, most of the time i buy movies i have an active collection of dvd's for me and the kids. it keeps us busy on those rainging, and snow and cold days. i have also come across a big red box thats called red box,lol it lets you rent out movies directly from the machine for only a dollar plus taxes, a day. and you return it to the same machine. they have most of the latest movies out. its nice when your out in walgreens shopping and up pick up a movie for the night.

I prefer to rent or watch it in cinema rather than buy it. because i have some bad experiences when i buy some DVD, the first time was when my friend borrowed some my DVD he never return back to me. the second was when i buy some DVD in my trips on vacation, the DVD broke when i get home. that why i prefer to rent it.

I think it depends. I prefer to go to movies if it is a very good movie and with lots of effects and animations. It is good to watch movies with effects in big screen. I prefer to rent a movie if I find some nice movies available for rent. Usually, new movies won't be available for rent. I also buy some movie CDs at a cheap rate from street if I see.

I use to go too the movies every Sunday first showing of the day. Then I moved and now I just rent movies. I belonged to Netflix for the past two years but decided that redbox was better for me then netflix. I love watching movies its and escape plus very entertaining. I have some movies but I don't collect them. I rather just rent.

in the "olden" (lol) days, renting movies was what was being done here. then came these very cheap CDs and then DVDs, which are really very good copies. one DVD comes out with as much as 30 movies (or even 50) in it at a very cheap price of only P40.00 (conversion rate is P47.00 to a US dollar or thereabout). we are buying most of our movies here, rent is passe and nothing to rent as nobody does that business anymore. sometimes, we can even view movies ahead of the movie theaters. this is one big problem of the government .. to stop piracy of videos.

I like going to the theater, not because of the movie, but the company of my friends. Also, there are some movies that are really cool to watch on a large screen, so theater is the choice. There are also those 3D movies, which require those special glasses. Theaters again.
Besides those circumstances, I actually 'rent' movies.
