How do you turn another job offer?

I applied as an English Tutor in 2 English Centers, located just at the next city (about 20 minutes drive from home). I have been interviewed by both schools already, and I'm merely waiting whichever calls me first. Sounds too optimistic, I know, but both schools have been assuring me already that they'd hire me, come peak season. The center I've applied last has called me up first, telling me to go back. I've been interviewed only yesterday, and they expect me back later this afternoon. If I do get hired, when the other center calls, what should I tell them? How can I turn the other one down? Thanks!

Oh , that's so wonderful. You are definitely an excellent English teacher. And, you will be very happy and very successful at the job. Well, ofcourse, the other school will understand too. They will know the reason why that the school which contacted you first hired you ! The reason is "you are an excellent teacher, and will be a valuable asset for the school" !! Best wishes to you !

Wow, thank you for the compliment! I do wish I'd do good :) The other school promised to contact me on the 1st week of October, but the one that hired me first called me 2 hours after my interview. Oh well :) Thanks!

Just thank them for their time and the offer but say that you have secured a position elsewhere. Most employers would realise that applicants may have tried for more than one job. Good luck in your new job!
