I am very poor at deciding on gifts. When I was in school, it was my sister's job to select gifts on my behalf. I used to give her commission for that work. Even now, I have not improved much in that. Whatever be the occassion...birthday of friends or family, wedding anniversary, Christmas,...I ask suggestions of many people before buying a gift. I am always tensed if the person who recieves the gift will like it or not. What about you?

Usually I have a flexible budget, but the problem is with selecting gifts. I am always worried if the person who gets the gift will like it or no. I am too concerned about the use of the gift. I don't want to give somebody a gift which they throw away or give away to somebody for free. I want them to use the gift I present. So, a lot of thinking should go before selecting a gift.

i also cannot decide which gift to choose in a budget.when i choose something good then it goes out of budget. we should try to have a friend who can help us in choosing a gift. gift has to be a nice one it does not depend on its value. happy mylotting.

It is nice to find another person like me who finds difficulty in finding gifts. Yes, both of us should find friends who can constently help us in finding gifts. More than the cot issue of it, I am more concerned if the person I gift like the gift or not. My wedding anniversary and Christmas are coming soon and I started thinking about gifts.

I think im good at selecting gifts. However when I know that I have to buy gifts I think a bit beforehand since i take a lot of time. I would want to see many things before choosing the proper thing even for a simple birthday card. First if its a person im close to, I try and notice or take from her/his mind if she needs something in particular. Obviously I dont ask the person directly, I would want it to be a surprise. I just try to bring up the subject and say that you need to buy some stuff etc. Or else just think about what the person like if you know her/him a lot. If you encounter any difficulties try making a gift voucher or else take the person shopping with you and when she gets something you buy it for her or else you notice what type of things she likes looking for. sorry i wrote too much but just to give you some tips and ideas. take care.

It is not always easy to decide on the best gift, but I guess it depends a lot on how well I know the person, and the personality of the person I want to get a gift for. Most people, I have found, love surprises. In that case, it is the element of surprise that is the real gift, more than the gift itself. As a rule, I enjoy planning what to get people on their special occasions. Especially if there is something they have been planning to get for themselves. If all else fails, there's always the option of a gift voucher - hard to go wrong with that one.
