Here is the danger of it, my father just open door easily to strangers, such as those sales persons who go from door to door sale; church volunteers who tried to convince people get converted to their churches, and other landscaping service who looking for houses to provide services etc...... My father would open the front door to see what they said, then rejected them. For me, I won't just randomly open my front door to anyone. Some people I might not know, or I don't want to answer, I just let the them ring the bell a couple of times, then they will leave. From news, many people got robbed because they open doors to strangers randomly. I advised my father never ever do that.

I don't let anybody to our house especially strangers. I always exercise safenesses because we might regret it in the end if we directly trust person we do not know. we never get robbed because we always keep our mind alive for those people who has a bad intention.

Hi Clorissa, I too never open my door to strangers. heck when I have my house if a family member randomly turns up and knocks on the door I won't answer it to them either. I hate being bothered when I am doing things I started not answering the door because of the sales people, same for the phone too. I have an answering machine which screens my calls as there have been problems with pushy salespople in the past, and I don't want to have to deal with such people, either in person or otherwise anymore. About the only people I answer the door to are those from the RoyalMail or another parcel company, but then only if I know that myself or another member of the family is expecting something. I don't want to take any chances. All the best, Dranz

yea...me too, in my country especially in big cities where criminal action is high, it is not wise to open the door for strangers. that's ok if someone just got robbed, what if they were killed by the robber? and unfortunately, it happened.
