what should i select as my boyfriend's birthday gift?

the next saturday is my boyfriend's birthday.i have book a big cake for him but i really don't know what is the prop present.
is there some rule for selecting gift for boyfriend? is there some special thing should not be choosed as a birthday present? especially for my boyfriend?

Most guys prefer to have a watch or a bracelet as a birthday present from their love ones. Someone to remind them how especially they are to a girl. A watch is a perfect gift as he can see you through it every time he check for the time.
