Misrepresentation!

How would you feel when you journey all the way to town, paid your parking fees and then discover you have been duped by a silly advertisement? It says RM199 for a solid Nokia hand phone which normally would have cost RM1,000. What we found out was that the advertisement was a misrepresentation. It was actually part of a lucky draw and whoever got the picture of the Nokia will only have to pay RM199 for the hand phone. Do you think I should sue?

That is wrong. Sadly businesses do it all the time to suck customers in. I'd love to tell you to sue but I don't think you'd win anything. They are a bigger company with bigger pockets and could make your life harder.

I don't know if suing would be worth it though. The sum seems a little low and it looks like you would be going up against a company with a deeper pocket than yours. I just don't see the amount being high enough to justify a lawsuit. You have to keep in mind also if they win you may have to pay them lawyer and attorney fees which could end up costing several thousand more than the original lawsuit amount you were aiming for. It's tricky business, I would get all my facts together first and decide if the lwasuit is worth it.
