Do you use the car indicator lights?

We have these 2 lights in the car, which shows other drivers when we have the intention to make a turn to either right or left.
However, I find that some people don't really use these lights any more, especially when they turn into lanes they assume there be no one turning in. I find it very dangerous doing this, as we got no idea when a car will appear.
I always keep reminding my brother to use these lights as and when he want to do a turn.
Also, I will not give way to those car which cut into my lane without using the lights, as I think it's just too 'rude' for just cutting queue without even signalling.
What do you think?

I had always put left or right signal when applicable.
This is a practical way of communication to others to
signal others that we are turning so that they can be
cautious and take the right decision whether to brake
or to overtake. Lately I noticed one time, I did not use
the signal light when my mind assume no cars are using those
secluded housing lane near my house. Hmmm... bad habit

oh Iriene.. you know what my brother's comment when I told him to use the signal lights even turning into the lane of our house? he will tell me, show who? ghost ah! 
well, to me, I always take precaution when come to turnings, as I know lots of time, it's the careless mistake we did that cause the accidents. So, even if I am just turning into the lane which normally used by just the 2 rows of us, I will still use the signals.

James.. that's my concern for my brother.. in no time, if he didn't cultivate this habit, it will become more and more worse... so, even turning into a road just in front of us, I make sure he is using the signals
and that day, I noticed that he is driving without the headlight on!! and it's at night!!!

Iriene & cwong, It is a good habit to cultivate to always use signals for switching lanes or turning left and right. Am I right? Your brother may be right, nobody to see. But because of this bad habit cultivate over time he may forget to use it when the needs arise, then it is too late. In "the fine country" down south you will be fined for not using the signal even though there is nobody around. This is to keep up the good habits.

Hi cwong, What are signal lights for? Use them. The one on the right is for you to turn right. The other on the left is for you to turn left. If you don't use them then
remove them. It is very dangerous, accidents can happen because of no signalling. Do you know the "fine country" down south can fine if you are caught without using your
indicator if you want to switch lane or turn right or left? A word of advice: If there are other motorists who cut into your lane without signalling, give in to them
to avoid accidents. " Tien yow gaan." Their turn is near or "tak lama lagi." Cheer up.

When I see a driver not using the turn signals, I generally make the comment that they must have been optional equipment for that particular year. In other words, they must not have them or they would surely use them!
As for me, I do use mine all the time. It is dangerous not to.

Hi There, i always use the car indicator light while driving. i think it is queit safe for us to use it, if not used you can easily meet an accident. So i tell everybody to use indicator light always.

Yes, it's very dangerous to not use these lights. I always remind the person driving beside me to use them! Many accidents happen because of not using these lights. Imagine we want to make a turn and there is a motorcycle that wants to go straight instead. If we did not put on those lights then bam!! Even thinking of it makes me shudder...

hi lilhyppo, I agree with you... that's what I am doing also when I am in the car while my brother drives! Till now, he prefer that I drive than him, coz at least for him, it's a peaceful drive..
Well, I really can't take those people who drive without signalling, and I really wonder these people living style too!

Yes,I always use the indicator lights whenever I intend to turn.Some people just make a turning all of a sudden.As we know this is dangerous.There are some who will use the indicators only if there is heavy traffic.If the traffic is light they don't use indicators.Whenever we are going to take a turning,we should slow down and put the indicator on.It is one of the steps for safe driving.It is indeed a good point made by you,cwong77.

riverblue.. it's a good habit to keep using the indicator lights to inform other drivers of your way.
Keep that going, and I do hope to see all drivers play their part, as there are too many lifes just wasted on the road accidents.
