I am posting this topic in a stage of confusion and want some help from my mylot friends.I am from India.few weeks back ,my neighbour Fathima who is working as a life insurance agent has offered me a job in netherland and asked my intrest.I asked my father and he adviced to get more information.next day she came and gave me an email id of Mr.Basheer, who is running a company in Netherlands and to forward my resume.email id end s in "live.nl".I send him the resume. He has replied that he is ok with my resume and forward passport, qualifications and photographs. Also Fathima gave me his phone number and I called him.Fathima told me that it costs around five lakhs for the job visa .The money is for insurance, accident etc.Now he have told me that my visa processing is going on and send him my medical certificate.I have send that.I am confused, I dont know the rules in Netherlands and no body to help me there. Is there any money requirement for getting job permit in Netherland.?Or can any body tell me the procedures for getting the sponsered job visa in Netherlands?

First how trustworthy is this Fathima. Do you know her for a long time. Who is this Basher and how do they get to know what is the requirement in Netherlands.Honestly I am quite suspicious of the whole thing. You haven't written whether you have parted with the money already and are only trusting your luck now and that you are only asking for some reassurance. Is that so? If you jhave not yet parted with themoney then hold on! Your Dad's contention is right.

Ya I know Fathima for more than ten years.I havn't given the money yet.The contactwith Basheer and me is through telephone and email only.I am quite sure that fathima is trusty.I doubt whether Basheer is trying to cheat even Fathima.I want to know about the visa procedures in Netherlands. Also is there any money requirement for getting visa approved for the employer?

Why don't you contact the Dutch embassy in India with the details. The details of indian embassy in netherlands is available from external affairs ministries site. Even if fatima is known to you for long years, make it very sure that this is a genuine offer, what can you do if fathima herself is trapped in false offers? . I had such an experience, i got one offer from spain. Immediately i contacted the spanish embassy with the details, within two days they confirmed me that it is a fake one.

Hi, You can check if the offer from a registereed company. I had also fwded my resume to @live.nl id .... but its a bit expensive and job visa will be provided by the company where you will be working and you may not have to pay an amount as high as 5 lakhs ...
