maybe they re just interested in seeing what they are up to now. Lord knows i get a kick out of running into people i used to have relationships with online. Depending on how my relationship with them ended, i can either be happy for them that they have moved out, and settled down and started families of their own, or else if it was a bitter break up, i will ashamedly admit that i enjoy gloating when i can find one and see that they are STILL a miserable human being (i know, this makes me horrible, but at the same time, it usually re-enforces my feeling that i am a good judge of charachter)

Well it depends on the relationshio they had with their ex. Some people are actually good friends before they had a relationship with each other, and for some reason they seperated the friendship didn't go away with it. if the person did not have a bad separation issue with their ex, they still ended up as good friends. Or maybe the ex still owes them something thats why he/she is trying to find them. It also depends on the stability of the current relationship. Unless the current situation of the relationship is in the verge of a break-up then his/her act of looking for an ex may be considered cheating.
