Should Law Abiding Citizens Have Anything to Fear from the Police?

According to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin PD, YES! Iv'e already written about the instructions given to the Milwaukee Police Officers from their chief about openly carrying in the city. Even though it is completely legal, and the Governor uses the open carry laws as justification for vetoing concealled carry legislation, the Milwaukee Chief of Police has ordered all the city police to "take down" anyone caught obeying the open carry law. There is a new wrinkle in the sordid tyrrany of the gun grabbers of Milwaukee. Ther is a gun store in the city that police say sells an inordinant percentage of the guns used in crimes in Milwaukee. So the police chief is going after the gun shop. The problem is, this gun shop obeys every law above and beyond what is required of them. In other words, the police have no probably cause to harrass them. In a city where violence is so rampant that it there wouldn't be much higher rate if it was legal, the cops of the city have no excuse to harrass law abiding gun carriers or merchants. They have enough to do enforcing the laws without creating more work for themselves by going after people for obeying the law. More proof that firearmophobia knows no decency or respect for rights or law and order. All the victims of this mental illness know is that their unreasonable fears trump everything else.

Why is it they always think it will solve a problem if they go after the law abiding citizens instead of the criminals? The law abiding citizens they "take down" should form a class action and demand that chief gets fired. They can't harrass you for following the law. But it is happening more and more often.

Has anyone suggested to the police that while they were harassing law abiding citizens the bad guys were getting away? And since it is their job to get the criminals, they are derelict in their duties. Someone might also point out to the police that putting more work on themselves by harassing law abiding citizens isn't going to get them a pay increase. If whoever is in charge of the police department is an elected official, it could loose him his job.
